Thanks

Hey, thanks, I was hoping to get it done properly though so it'd last the whole time that I was away - is this likely to alter my natural hair colour for good?

use a brown that will wash out in 24 washes.

if you dye blonde brown you need to make sure the brown has a reddish base or the colour will not be good!

hiya im also naturally blonde with blue eyes and really pale skin it was getting a bit boring though after a while. i felt like i looked washed out and so when i was 12 i took the plunge and went very dark brown and loved it! the responces off people were great every1 else liked it and now people dont believe me when i say im naturally blonde. I think it makes my look warmer plus it doesn't need washing as much as its harder to tell when its greasy! i will be waiting along time before i go back to blonde im having so much fun trying new looks which compliment my hair

I'm going dark on Saturday....I've been blonde all my life but feel like a change. I'm hoping it will make me look a bit more grown up....a bit nervous about it tho :?

blond hair to brown

Postby xtinkerbellex » Sun Nov 04, 2007 7:55 pm

If you have pale skin you do not want to go too darker brown as it will just make you look even more pale and washed out, brown and really lite blond streaks is a good look i think :)

blonde going brown

Postby frann88 » Wed Nov 28, 2007 4:58 pm

When I was younger i had bleach blonde hair and as i got older my hair got darker, a few years ago i started dying my hair back to a really light blonde like i used to have, but my hair grows so fast and i have to constantly get my hair dyed. as i get older my roots get darker. my parents keep telling me that i should dye my hair brown what do you think?

< i think it might be easier for me and even healthier because i would not have to get my hair dyed as often and my roots would probably match up to my hair color better.

blonde to brunette.

i naturally grew up having medium golden blonde hair, but as i started growing up, my hair got a little darker. i didn't mind, it was still blonde after all, but my eyebrows also got darker. now i have brown eyebrows (which have not been colored) so two years ago i decided to dye my hair brown. i have always been too scared to use box color so i went to the hairstylist i have used all my life. long story short, i LOVE having brown hair. even my family says it looks more natural than the blonde i was born with. if your stylist thinks brown would look good on you, go for it! it's just as much fun to play with: in fall and winter i opt for darker brown and when the weather starts to warm up, i add some lighter brown in the mix. all i can say is i am never going back to my blonde roots (which never even really show, as long as you go to a professional)!! :D

going back to my natural colour

Postby Guest » Mon Jul 21, 2008 3:09 pm

I've been getting blonde highlights in my hair for over a year now, and its just got too blonde for my liking, so i was thinking of going back to my natural colour which is a mousy brown/dark blonde. I've heard stripping hair colour is really really bad for your hair so i don't want to get that done, but i was just wondering if anyone with similar hair colour has tried just dying it back to their natural colour? I still have my natural colour underneath so it's not all blonde, but i just don't know what would be best to get it all back to my natural colour!

I have naturally platnium blonde hair, as I got older it started to get dirty blonde. I began to dye it blonder and as I got older my hair dresser would dye it from blonde to brown every time I would go in, it would be such a big transition. She did an amazing job and I was able to pull off both brown and blonde hair. I love being brunette as well as being a blonde. You just have to find the right color for you.

For the girl with the orange roots, you need to strip your hair of all of its color. I would put conditioner in my hair and let it sit and soak in for about an hour each day for a week or more. Then rinse and your hair will become healthier. Then strip your hair of all the colors and dye's you have added to get it back to your natural color. Again let conditioner sit and soak in for a couple weeks and then go get your hair PROFESSIONALLY down brown. I would not dye your hair brown from blonde without getting it done first professionally. You have to be careful because the brown dye sticks to the bleach easier and may turn coppery and darker then the intended color [obviously you know all of this]

So good luck :)
