Apart from recent idiotic contributions Ive been interested to read peoples reactions. I really do think it must have been the marijuana, Katie K, as I was beaten relatively frequently as a child and I never ever found it anything but very painful.
I was an only child and my dad was killed in a train crash when I was six, so my mum was entirely responsible for my upbringing( in the 1960/70s). My mum was brought up in South Africa, and was a firm believer in the use of corporal punishment. The ritual was always the same- She would send me up to my room and I would have to take all my clothes (inc underwear) off and put on my dressing gown the wrong way round with the cord done up. She would open the dressing gown and give me 12 strokes (always 12 for some reason) on my bare bottom, and my god did it hurt.
I knew from talking to schoolmates that my mums discipline was quite harsh even for those days but i genuinely believe her motivation was entirely good- she was a lovely caring person. After I had been punished the offence for which I was caned would never be raised again.
I have chosen not to beat my children as I do not think it would be right for this day and age.

First let me say that I agree with those who have expressed disapproval of the Corporal Punishment of girls by male authority figures. For similar but different reasons, the physical chastisement of boys by women is also inappropriate. Although I do feel that Katie had nothing to feel embarassed about as the response was purely involuntary. The Headmaster ought to have let the miscreants go home and sleep off the effects of the drug, before administering punishment. I have a somehwat older friend who went to a very strict catholic boarding school in the U.S. in the 70's. They used caining and she was spanked with a thin board a number of times. What happened to you is nothing to worry about and quite normal, and has a perfectly reasonable physiological explanation. It is well known amongst sexologists that corporal punishment, when applied to the buttocks, can act as a powerful sexual stimulus. There are two main reasons for this.

Firstly, the nerve endings which sensitise the skin of the buttocks and gluteal region are part of the same nervous network, and share the same nerve roots, as those that innervate the pelvic floor region (genitals, anus and particularly the clitoris/penis). Violent and painful stimulus such as spanking, paddling or caning applied to the buttocks can trigger sympathetic stimulation of the nerves serving the pelvic floor area and contribute to triggering involuntary orgasm.

Secondly, corporal punishment applied to the buttocks (especially to the lower buttock region, with the victim usually bent over, so that the locus of impact is in very close proximity to the Anal/genital area,) causes a rush of blood to the area causing the typical reddening that takes place. This blood rush affects the whole pelvic floor area and causes "vaso-congestion" of the region, and sometimes partial erection of the clitoris or penis.

It is the combination of these two physiological reactions in the pelvic floor (the sympathetic nerve stimulation, and the blood rush) that in rare circumstances can trigger involuntary orgasm, as it did in your case. More commonly, a spanking or caning on the bottom causes sensations in the pelvic floor short or orgasm, such as a warm tingling or throbbing sensation. Such sensations will nearly always persist in the buttocks (and pelvic floor area) for some time after the punishment, and after the initial pain has subsided.

It is this knowledge of the undesirable sexual effects of corporal punishment when applied to the buttocks of children and adolescents that has led to it being banned in most parts of the civilised world, with only a few exceptions. (e.g. the southern USA, where paddling the buttocks is still very much in use in many schools, for girls as well as boys).
