Politics in the US affects politics around the world?

Postby StonyBrookWST2 on Fri Nov 02, 2007 6:50 am

Hi, everyone! I'm a student at Stony Brook University taking the Women Studies 102 class (Intro to Women Studies) and I'm conducting research and would gladly appreciate some help from women all around the world on this forum. I will be asking and hopefully allowed to start a few polls so I can pick up statistics on about what people think about women and politics.

Please participate in my poll question below. Oh and feel free to express your opinions. :)

Think about Hillary running for President of the United States.

Thank you so much!

I wanted to vote for "Women will grow increasingly active in politics around the world, with scant reference to what happens in the USA."

With regard to Hillary Clinton, does the world really need another hot-flush heroine at the helm of anything at all?

I'm sorry, but my advice to you is to go back and reword your questions then start your survey over again. Your question structure is so problematic that you will end up with data that is very difficult to interpret.

The biggest problem is that for every question you have you have two questions within it. What if people agree with one statement but disagree with the other? They will opt to not answer the question at all.

You need to separate those questions out.

For example:

The election of females to important political positions in the US will encourage:

1. women around the world to become more active in politics
2. women from select countries around the world to become more active in politics (if yes, please specify which countries)
3. US women to participate more in politics

ALSO

Trends in US politics has a strong influence on international political trends.

A stronger female presence in US politics will help to open doors for women in other countries.

Allow a YES/NO response for each

Could also be interesting to add a question like:

A strong female presence in the politics of other countries have helped to open the door for US women.

SUNY Stony Brook? That's a burnout party school for every subject except the natural sciences, and Women's Studies is a Mickey Mouse, bullshit subject in any university.

If you are a guy, you took the course because you thought it was a gut and that you might get laid. You’ve have now realized that it is not a gut course, at least not for males. You have also realized that no chick in that course will do you, that you wouldn’t want to do any chick in that course no matter how desperate you are, and that all the hot chicks on campus who would never take that course think you are gay for taking the course and won’t ever go anywhere near you.

If you are a girl, you are a heinous-looking, unhygienic, smelly, man-hating bull dyke who had to show even her parents DNA test results to prove she is female. You’re not that smart either, if you’re in Stonybrook.

I am right, aren't I?
