I've just read the 10 pages here and applaud all the good energy for little Zahara. It is, afterall, all about HER, NOT Abusalina.

For starters, I'll keep Zahara, Mentewab and her family in my prayers.

Simply printing the hadlines and having posters here gets tongue's wagging and we know that bad news travels fast. Also, the Sun and InTouch would have contacts who could pass messages on to Ethiopia.

Where there's a will there's a way and Mentewab could eventually get legal and financial help. I would donate. Even if only to see Zahara or get the adoption investigated further.

As for who planted this, or held this story for the "right timing"? It is possible angie wanted to gain her sainthood w/a positive spin on things. And/or, Brad's camp could have leaked a bit more, blindsighting angie by tipping the scales in the other direction.

It is odd that her "friends" had positive comments prepared, but the overall jist of the article is BAD. And no matter how crazy hoLIE is for PR, good or bad, she probably doesn't realize how touchy this subject can be and how it could totally pull the rug out from under her and send her in the paddy wagon. Know her do you? This is the most ridiculous story I've ever read here and that is saying something. If you give a child up for adoption that is it. You have relinquished your care of said baby. No point crying over it two years later when she's a happy and healthy toddler.

I've always thought that Zahara's adoption was shady. First, she was in Russia to adopt a little boy. Remember Gleb? There were stories and even some pictures of her in Russia. Then she dropped that and went and picked up Zahara.

Brad returned to LA after the Ethiopian trip, got sick, was admitted to the hospital for meningitis and discharged July 14, 2005.

While in the hospital they discovered Zahara had salmonella - a life threatenng bacteria infection that causes diarrhea and fever. Babies cannot handle those conditions it is not discovered and treated. They can easily die. And they do.

After she discovered this infection, Dr. Aaronson alerted Zahara's orphanage and sent preventative treatments (antibodies, etc) to the orphanage to prevent outbreaks of samonella which are known to decimate babies and infants if left untreated.

That clearance automatically gave Maddox US citizenship. They entered the US in early June.

The courts just basically told them they had no standing. That the adoption was final and there was nothing they could do against the rich American even if they could prove blood relationship to Zahara.
