Local sayings

& phrases...a post in today's members chit-chat got me thinking..

post a typical saying/phrase/word from where you live and tpb guesses what it means and supplies another:

so I'll start with Haud Yer Wheesht!

you don't have to starfish..it means hold your tongue as in shut up! :D here's one..if yer maw hits ye wi her baffy what is she hitting you with?
