Prejudice doesn't come naturally - it is acquired through experience and what we have all been taught. That is what is so revolutionary about what your man was getting at and you yourself have conceeded that it is difficult to achieve.

I more or less agree with you about extremism that the world is full of it. Not just with the religous either. Politically you may have left and right extremes but sometimes it feels like there is, believe it or not, an extreme in the centre with people professing to be Liberal minded.

Perhaps Myron is being unfair and setting an intellectual and moral trap, but you are being unfair as well by almost attacking his Musculinity at the end of the qouted passage. You cannot expect people to budge all the time and a gently gently approach is needed because you are attacking some core values that have pre-dated you.

I appreciate what your saying and I agree with you about extremism and I feel Ive explained how I think about it in no uncertain terms. BUT I dont feel Im being unfair on myron - sorry - but Im not. He has accused me of being an anti-Christian bigot. Ive more than explained what I meant - in fact Ive gone overboard to spell it out but hes chosen to literally ignore everything Ive written.
