School underwear

I remember the days when we wore stockings, suspender belts and bottle green knickers. In the fifth form we had a craze for wearing girdles instead of suspender belts. Does anybody else remember those far off days?

I used to wear suspenders and stockings under my school uniform but developed a wetting problem which meant i had to wear a nappy so had to wear tights as it was just too fiddly if i had to change halfway through the day.

I only ever wore stockings and suspenders twice at school, once in a school play, another at a 6th year party, where I dressed as a St Trinian, but in my gym skirt. It proved a bit of a distraction. I kept pulling it off as the night went on....... People kept lifting it, so I relented by puling it off, it was only held on by velcro, and had to watch if I breathed out too hard A 22 inch waist skirt on a 24 inch waist person, mmmm

Other than that it was either black or white knickers with matching bra (I've always worn the same colour of both since I started wearing a bra at 12) The school I was at, because they didn't like girls wearing very short skirts, other than in the gym or out on the sports field, if I wore a black bra I had to wear a jumper or a t-shirt so it wouldn't show through my blouse!

I was supposed to wear the regulation burgundy gym knickers on PE days but got away with black or white. I had to wear the burgundy ones when in netball or hockey inter school competitions so we were all the same and people wouldn't concentrate on what colour we were wearing.

Aye, right!

never really got into stockings or suspenders, not til I was older and realised what they did for a boyfriend but never saw them as practical as part of the school uniform.

did anyone wear a Thong back in their school days? I never really got into them until I was 17/18 and had left school. just wondered what age it becomes acceptable to wear them as many people would consider them to be a sexy item of clothing, yet i'm sure girls as young 12/13 are wearing them these days.

I've never really liked them, I'll wear one now and again but not often. Maybe as in a bikini but not as knickers.

Thongs were popular when I was at school up to about 7 years ago, which is probably why gym skirts became unpopular! Then again some of the skirts girls wore were as good as being gym skirts.

There was a bit in the school boys liked to gather on windy days, it was a bit between two buildings that channeled the wind and blew our skirts up, some that weren't pleated either it was that strong. You could tell that way that thongs were popular.....

You could soon tell the ones that didn't mind the regular 'exposure'.

If my mum ame across a Thong while doing my washing as a 9 year old I'm sure she'd have had something to say!

Don't mind a Thong, foolishly makes me feel a bit sexier and don't really notice it after 5 mins. not sure i've the confidence to wear one to the pool or the beach though.

At 9 years old I hope there isn't too many occasions where her Thong would be visible. I suppose even the bikini like knickers young children wear nowadays would have been frowned upon long ago, now they are accepted, considering what used tp be worn as underwear before.

I always used to wear thongs up until last year and, bizarrely, I used to get spots on my buttocks. This happened for about 2 or 3 years and never thought it was anything to do with my underwear. But since I stopped wearing them I never get spots now so it must have been them! I always wear panties now or,preferably, shorts. More comfortable.

I started wearing Thong knickers when I was still at school aged about 17. I was one of the first in my year to wear them.
