Do you have a really strong story to tell about WHY you chose to have
surgery?
I am a journalist currently writing a feature for a national newspaper about women who have had plastic surgery. The piece is meant to be a very insightful psychological look at how unhappy people have to be before they resort to going under the knife, the pros and cons that are weighed up before making the decision and the problems that can result from poor body image - relationship break ups, career problems, depression etc. Did these problems resolve themselves after surgery?
I am not just looking for women who, for example, always wanted bigger breasts and feel fantastic after surgery now they can wear the clothes they always wanted. I'm looking for people who have a real understanding of why they decided to have surgery and what it meant in terms of a life-changing decision and the impact that it had on their self-esteem.
