When I come across Men who cant drive, I think there's something wrong.

They're likely to be lentil munching sandal wearing brainwashed greenies-whom i cant stand and are the sheepish scurge of the planet.

Mrs Thatcher once said that a man who finds himself taking the bus with no car over the age of 23 can consider himself a failure.
Bring those days back! Now all we have is chav scum and failures who are proud of being failures!
I enjoy a healthy distaste for the masses ;)

Men who don't drive are weak minded wimps. Any self respecting man would want to be the driver. Women belong in the passenger seat.

If you genuinely give a S*** or feel the need to judge people who chose not to drive (male or female) then any sadness here belongs with you. Really, get a life. What a bland and stupid discussion.

This is despite the fact that as a then urban dweller I didn't feel the need to learn to drive myself until my late twenties.

If you live in the boon docks, I can see you hold your retatded views.

Women only make an issue of men not being able to drive, when men are leeching lifts of them without paying for petrol. There is nothing worse than a guy who expects lifts everywhere and won't stick his hand in his pocket. It's both rude and lazy.

but you shouldn't even have to ask, they should offer, especially if it's a short trip to France.

All people behave differently and have different morals and things they give a S*** about. If in your car you wish people to pay for petrol then ask for it. I agree to get a lift to France and not offer is downright rude (and not gender specific) but we can only control ourselves at the end of the day. Ask for what you need or take the risk of not getting it. I'm hope you asked for it at some point?

I always ask for petrol money, but some people have a habit of making you feel tight for asking. It's not the money it's the principle and people who can't drive, don't pay insurrance and maintain cars, have no idea, yet they'd happily pay a taxi driver. There's no difference.

People get away with what you let em have?

You're right they dont pay the insurance and they dont have to maintain em so why let em make you feel cornered for asking for whats rightfull yours? Its easy to say 'they make me feel'. Why give them the control? Cheeky shite has taken a lift with you to France. He's not driven, he's not put petrol in the car, he's not had to work out how you're gonna get where you're goin - so the real question you could ask yourself is 'what is it about me that lets that happen'? Work that one out and he'll not get away with it again - neither will anyone else for that matter.

Its his fault that he's a piss takin, cheeky, rude, manipulative arsehole.

Its not his fault tho that you're not asssertive/confident enough not to let him get away with it.

Non-drivers are always like this, they expect to be driven around for free. Even if you're assertive and ask for a contribution, some people are such users when it comes to lifts. All they have to do is offer some pounds.
