Mine is going to virus scan websites and finding the site fails to load or their virus scan fails to load.

Whats your trick?
We Americans are damn tired of being thought of as dumb by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November and removed all doubt.

Install an AV program and firewall before going _ and keeping them up to date? Use a decent email program that doesn't render HTML mails and don't open junk 'funny stuff' friends send you.
I've been _ for 18+ years and yet to have a single virus problem. It's hardly rocket science.

i have not been _ that long and i have had very few prombles but i do things most ppl are not doing *torrents* but over all the way you know if your computer is f*cked is if it is not acting right or doing something you have not called for.

a sure sign is it being just fine one day...and the very next day being VERY SLOW....do task manger and rember what is running...if something else is running that was not there i know about it and i can look for that file and delete it and that is it most times...sometimes i have to go hunting for the other files to that one befor it can be removed *ie dll files and other things of that kind*

but most times things that are running on your computer you can google the run processes and find out what they are and if it could be a virus...google is full of great info only if one could tap into it

one of the best ways to tell if there is a virus is if the computer boots in to Windows .
run nix!!
