You need to use a progam called winrar or winzip, do a search you should be able to find a shareware version.

Another good program is 7-Zip. It is free and open-source.

lol winrar i like the most...it opens alot of zip files and runs very fast and dos not use much of the cpu even when zipping...u can download it free *bootleg* but...its not that much to buy

for linux it is simple

unrar e file.rar[/code:1]
on windows i use GnuWin32 rar and unrar
Google it
also 7-zip is good
