lLemon juice is a really good natrual way to highlight or genrally lighten your hair colour. It works fantastically on blondes (as a blonde myself i can tell you it works from experience). i just use pure fresh juice straight from the lemon, i dont do any 60% lemon business.

Just put it in and sit in the sun for about 2 hours with an ipod, phone and magazine and wash it out as soon as you get back indoors.

Looking above, your hair probrably fell out because you did it too much. you only need to do it once every 2 to 3 months maximum. It's like with anything, if you dye your hair too much it will fall out of break. So take this into consideration.

Medium brown friends of mine have used lemon in their hair, it made their hair a lighter shade of brown, not blonde streaks or ginger.

Hopefully this has helped a bit....

Like i thought it worked cause i used it all the time when i was little to get my hair lighter, and yes my hair did turn honey blonde which i thought was really pretty.
But one day i woke up and my hair had fallen out.
Just because all the acid from the lemons burns out your pigmants.
 :!: :!: :!: :(

if u had put olive oil in ur hair after the lemon juice it would have replenished ur hair and still have kept the color. and prevented it from falling out!!

Ok, so yeah it works. BUT only on people with a dirty/dark blonde hair to make it blonde. If you have brown hair, it will make your hair lighter, maybe bring out some natural highlights..but like i said it will not turn brown hair blonde.

It works by taking out the pigments, so you cannot 'wash it out' or anything like that. The change is permanent.

I'm a 15 year old surfer from Newquay in Cornwall, England. . CAPITAL OF EUROPE. WOOOO! hahah. So i use it every summer, and it works amazingly for me, because i have dirty blonde hair. Make sure when you wash your hair you condition it LOTS though. otherwise it'll dry out completely.

OH and just to add. its the UV rays that make it work. YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT WITH A HAIR DRYER. spray a lemon juice and water solution onto your hair before going out into the sun! (:

putting lemon juice in your hair will lighten it, not ruin it. but it will also make your hair really dry by pulling pigment out. You should buy a special conditioner for really dry or damaged hair. I use lemon juice to lighten my hair. It's best to put it in a spray bottle, and put in no more than a tablespoon of water for each full lemon you put in. You need to do it twice the first time to get a full effect, and you need to dry it in the sun. The second time you do it, you can sit in the sun for a while, and then blow dry the rest, but staying in the sunlight while doing so.
I hope this helps you, or anyone else who happens to read this! :)

I have med. brown hair.. . and i want to use lemon juice. other ppl told me be because of my hair color, i should use a brush and wipe/ spread it through my hair w/out soaking it or getting it all over my hair. However will it bleach or lighten my hair greatily or will it look like a light brown? thanks

It'll most likely make your hair more orange or not change at all. I say just get salon or real hair dye and then l;emon juice to lighten them even more if you'd like. Yeah I'm a blonde and I did it it works well but my sister (a brunette) got the lighter brown sections in her hair orangy and the rest no change. Sorry , yeah it sucks but it's just how it works!

I have dirty blonde hair. If I put Lemon Juice and Water in my hair and stay out in the sun for like 3 hours and then swim in salt water for like 2-3 hrs. ( not in the water the entire time, just liek 1 hr. in the water). After that I am going home to put Olive Oil in my hair for like 30 min. and washing it out with a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
Will that work alright?
If I do that will I get dry hair?
If you use Lemon Juice how long does it take to get your natural hair color back, and do you have to take special steps to keep your hair smooth and soft everytime or just right after?

ASAP, the thing is Tomorrow!

I had dark blond hair or maybe a bit brown nothing special. I've squeezed 2 lemons into a glass then put all of it all over my hair, then I blow dried that.then Ive done my hair like using a hair gel or hair spray before drying. i went to when i woke up I went to school with it literally everybody said they like my hair ! and now its like second day I still have it on and I can see my hair are light golden LOOKS GORGEOUS!! im planning to wash it after I wake up but it looks really nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend it to everybody!!!! lemon = cheap = GREAT HAIR. ( i used only lemon quite a lot without adding any water at all) and ppl stop sayin bullshit that it doesnt work!!!!!!!!! if you put 2 milliliters of fckin juice + water and wash it out after 1 hour it wont work best to put only lemon dry it out and leave it over night! good luck through
