Returning briefly to planet Earth for a moment. It is no coincidence that the rise of Islam coincided with the demise of the Middle-East as the intellectual capital of the known world. The answer to every question being 'because Allah wills it'.

I appreciate that I am in minority here, principally because I am an atheist, and more than prepared to defend my lack of faith, but isn't fundamentalist Christianity every bit as bad? Schoolchildren in Islamic countries are at least allowed to learn about evolution, but not in some states in the USA.

So, it's probably not just Islam that is the problem here. There is not one shred of evidence to support the existence of a 'supreme being', and yet we still persist in maiming and killing each other. It's time to move on humanity.

Yasser Arafat put it rather nicely when asked to define the reason for the conflict between the religions. He thought for a moment before saying , my imaginary friend is better than your imaginary friend'.

In a thousand years, we will regard the 'religious age' as one of the darkest chapters in the history of humanity.

Since John Simpson was smuggled into Iraq wearing a burkah, is it not possible that the countries of the Middle East are full of transvestites? It wouldn't be until someone stuck his taliban-issue fire-hazard beard out from under the burkah snd shouted 'my name is Issa and I am a transverstite' before anyone would bother stooping to pick up the first stone.

I am a Muslim and I have lived in the US for five years, I can understand why the western world have a bad image about Muslims and to a point I can't blame them, if a group of chines people break into your house and steal it you will hate all Asian people. but I really don't think you can pass your judgment on a majority of people just because of what a small percentage of people did.

Muslims are against terrorism just like other nations, for your information, the US offered 1 Million dollars to whoever give any information about Osama bin Laden while the Saudi government offered 25 million for the same purpose.
