Lemon Hair Die

Postby Emma-Frances » Thu Jul 10, 2008 9:06 pm

Hello , i am 13 and new to the forum and would reli lyk to try soaking my hair in lemon juice to see the after effect and would lyk it to lighten it as well. Basiclly my hair is a golden blondi brown colour. Would this make it go orange at all or just give me more golden blonde hair?

Instead of going out into the sun could i just blow dry it afterwards?
and how long would i need to leave it in for after doing it?
Please Reply ASAP!
thanku. x

You know, I was actually going to try the same thing to make my hair lighter.I am gonna try it because I would do anything to lighten my hair, it's a really ugly brown color.... :( So I guess I will try this soon and see what happens....

I am also 13 and i was wondering instead of squeezing a lemon and have the juice drip down if u could just rub the lemon on strands of hair that u want lightened? [/list]

Do you only do this once or do you have to repeat everyday? I heard somewhere that it can take weeks to take effect but is that weeks of trying it everyday or is that weeks after just doing it once?

Today i tried the whole lemon juice thing and it did great :D . Im 13 and i have dirty blonde hair i had two lemons and cut them in half i got in my bathing suit and rubed them all over my hair. I sat in the sun for about an hour and then when i thought it was done (you will not be able to tell because ur hair will be dry) I got in the shower and first ran conditioner through my hair and got the smell and the dryness went away. i blow dryed my hair and saw how much my hair changed. It lightned up the whole thing and put natural looking high lights in my hair.......lets just say im going to do it again tomarro to make my hair blonder 8)

ok so i've got curly hair and its naturally already sorta dry and frizzy, so when you put the lemon juice in would it affect it if you added a lil conditioner to keep some moisture in or would it n prevent the sun from making it any lighter. any tips?

sorry if the way i worded that sounds really confusing.

Actually lemon juice works if you mix it with water and lay out in the sun for a few hours. But once you get inside wash your hair RIGHT AWAY! with herbel Essences or something that with a sort of oil to renew your hair or it will fall off. :gourpwave:

It will turn your hair white.

Then you hair will fall out.

It will also turn your pubes white.

And then they will fall out.

A strange side effect is that it will actually make your upper lip hair grow between 3 and 4.5 times as thick. Oddly, this remains black.

I am a GP - trust me.
