First of all, based on a documentary based in Africa by CBS (forgive me for not knowing the exact name) thousand of lives lost to STD could be greatly reduced by circumcisions.
Second, The only people who seem to complain about the issue of circumcision are the men who have not yet been circumcised. I can say with confidence that I have yet to hear from a man who said "I can't beleive I got circumcised." It just doesn't seem to happen. So is it just that uncircumcised men fear the procedure. Do they feel people look down on them for not having done so?
Circumcision is no more mutilation, than having your tonsils removed, but because it is relevant to a more prided area of the body it becomes an issue.
I was circumcised at birth. My father was not. Only recently did he get circumcised after which he told me to be sure that my son (when I eventually have one) is circumcised.
I am not jewish, I'm not a Scientist, I'm not a woman. But the afformentioned 3 groups seem to prefer circumcision. (maybe not scientist on a whole)
A case could be made to make it mandatory on adults.
