Infected belly button piercing

well, i can't say i didn't persevere . . . but today, after 14 months of trying/ cleaning etc, i finally had to give in and take my piercing out - am mortified!! I kept returning to my piercer (who's fab!) as once my piercing got infected (at about 6 months) i was determined to ensure i did everything correctly. Even today, when she finally gave in and took it out, she had no idea why it rejected and wouldn't calm down, but, unfortunately, there are some people who just react this way however, i am pleased to say, that once everything is healed completely/properly, we are going to have another go . . .fingers crossed!

Heyy guys! I need HELP! I got my belly button pierced about 1 and 1/2 months ago and just recently when I changed my barbell, (not for the first time) a red bubble thing appeared on the top hole. I'm pretty sure this means its infected...should I take the piercing out??? I really hope I dont have to because I dont want a nasty scar there I red somewhere that PURE aloe Vera will take the bump away overnight or something like that?...Is that true??

hey i got my belly done years ago and mine got a bit infected, it went hard and hurt when i tried to move it and really red. my mum told me to put savlon on it every night, so i did and it was fine after that!! savlon is magic lol
however recently i "repierced" mine cos i took it out for ages and the hole shrunk, and all the poking and prodding has made it all red and sore again so don't take it permanently out unless youre dead sure you don't want it in anymore!!

Hello my names grace. ive just had my belly peiced. im sure its infected. theres a red lump on the top bit and when i move the bar sometimes yellow stuff comes out. sick i know. anyways people say i have to take it out. i really really dont want to as it took me ages to pluck up the curage to actully get it done. pluss i want it for my holidays. is there anything else i can do? maybe wash it with salt and water.. or go see the man who did it, i really really dont want it out,

heyy. umm i was wondering if anyone could help me before i go to the doctors or something..
i got my belly button done about 3 1/2 weeks ago and it's been around a week that i have been getting pus and then it had been extremley crusted in the morning.
I clean it twice daily, once in the morning and at night but this does not seem to get rid of this yellow, whiteish pus i have been getting.
It also hurts a little bit, but i think that is also due to the fact that in my sleep i think i play with it and sometimes i wake up and realise i'm causing pain towards it.
but i'm not sure what to do.. if i keep cleaning it will the infection disepear?
Please give some advice.

Hi! I got my belly button pierced about 7 months ago and mine is infected. I think that I let it go to long before I tried to fix the infection because it is really bad, I thought that it was just healing but I think it was infected for awhile. But I have been using peroxide and the sea salt thing and a warm cloth and I went to the doctor and got antibiodics, but none of that helped. It got a little bit better after the antibiodics, but not 100 percent. My doctor said to take it out but it is still pussing and I dont want the infection to get trapped, I also dont want to take it out. So I recently started putting anti-biotic cream on it, so I hope that that helps. But if anyone has any other ideas for me please let me know, thanks.

I pierced my own belly button last night
now im scared its going to get infected i've put salt water on it twice today but the bottom bit has gone white around the bar then a red colour.. is it infected already or is this just cause i attacked myself with a pin and a body bar?

its a bit red and a bit sore and it leaks a bit off puss,, but only when i press it quite hard. its alot beta since i was more strict with cleaning it twice a day with salt water, only touching it when i have clean hands and putting antiseptic cream on it at nite. does anybody have anymore suggestions on keeping it clean or stories of peircings that went ceptic but healed.

Would you allow some tatoo'd guy in a back street shop to cut you open and whip out your appendix? No? why not? becuase he isnt surgically trained and his equipment may not be surgically sterile. Also the equipment has probably be used on dozens of other people. So why let him punch a hole through your skin and stick a microscopically diry piece of metal through it?. It just isnt worth the risk for fashion but of course its your choice.

Dude, your an idiot. they use single use materials on piercings. chill. its perfectly safe. I have five piercings never once has it been with a used needle. don't be stupid.
