The BEST-FITTING JEANS I HAVE EVER FOUND! Delia's Sophie Ultra Low Rise Jeans, to be exact. The more's the pity they don't come in black.

What difference does that make?

For some legacy reason (easier for men to get the woman's pants off), he is noting that some female jeans/pants have the zipper opening on the left side.

Now i'm not sure why this is, could be for lefty's (but one would have to ask why arn't men's jeans left hended as well), or its because of old bull s**t Victorian standards to distinguish women's wear from mens.

Who really cares as long as the jeans/pants fit comfortably

The positioning of the zipper is regarded as a male/female thing?
Male clothing has always had the zipper opening facing to the right.
Female zippers have been on both sides. The left facing opening is no
doubt due to taking an existing left facing zipper pattern from dress
slacks/pants and simply doing it up in the denin material.
Male zippers are generally longer 7-9 inch in length.
The female zipper is shorter 4-7 inches due to the recent fashion of low
rise pants.
It really should not matter where the zippers; buttons or snaps are
located on a well fitting garmet. I have had denin/jeans with the zipper
on the left (hip) side and and two with the zipper in the back center seam.
I have even had two zippers in the front - sailor style.
So such a big deal about zipper placement. My main concern is how well
the jeans/pants fit comfortably.
There are some purists that insist that a belt be worn with the belt looped
pants and that the buckle rest on the left side with the tongue being
drawn thru the buckle from right to left. Egads what is the fashion world
coming to? Some kind of military dictatorship.

Society accepting female cross-dressing as " normal &qu

Postby Fashion avenger » Fri Jul 11, 2008 6:09 am

What a fashion double standard ! Women can wear any menswear or the " female copy of it " and she is always avant-garde but a men wearing a " menswear from yester-year " and he is abnormal, either " gay " or a " cross-dresser "; what sexual bias insanity ! Imagine men did what women did and wore every conceivable type of womenswear and society says it is normal but a women wears a not so common style of womenswear and society condemns her as a sexually perverted transvestite ! This is the feces normal men have put up with the last fifty years, enogh is enough !

I totally agree! Just for fun, i've always wanted to wear a skirt (something long cuz i don't shave my legs haha), and just see how long i have a job for or who picks a fight with me and of course the numerous remarks from females.

Yup, double standard indeed.

I almost always wear skinny jeans so tight I can barely squeeze myself into them because I think it looks good, but I'm a girl. Men should not wear womens jeans in my opinion. Leave those tight jeans to the women!

If enough men wore womens clothes in public, you would be surprised by the number.

Womens jeans are more curvy and will sit on guys hips better.

Womens clothes are nicer, they fit better, are more pretty.

I have worn a knee-length denim skirt in public, and to two of my jobs.

No negative comments at all. I was just accepted like any other person.

If men want to wear women's jeans then go for it. Some men's jeans are too loose and flimsy where women's jeans are nice and fitting.

A rather interesting concept!

They don't have any room in the front or crotch for your things. With a back zipper, you must have to pull them down and sit too pee. And, with no pockets, you must have to carry a purse.
