Failed my driving test yesterday

I SAT MY THIRD TEST AND WAS TOLD I FAILED BEACUSE OF HESITATION, I WAS ASKED TO PULL OUT FROM SIDE OF ROAD WHEN THERE WAS LOADS OF CARS COMING UP BEHIND ME VERY QUICKLY HAD I PULLED OUT I WOULD HAVE BEEN FAILED IMMDEDIETLY FOR MAKING THEM BRAKE. I WASNT EVEN IN APOSITION WHERE CARS HAD TO DRIVE ROUND ME AS I WAS ON A BIT WHERE THE ROAD IS WIDE AND U CAN PARK IN WITHOUT BEING IN THE WAY. THE ONLY PERSON I WAS HOLDING UP WAS MYSELF IN TAKING MY TIME SO WHERE IS THE DANGER IN THAT????????????

THE CONSISTENCY OF EXAMINERS MARKING IS A JOKE I THINK I JUST READ SOMEWHERE ON NERT THE PASS RATE IS THIS COUNTRY IS 43% HOW MUCH MUNY ARE THEY MAKING OUT OF THAT.

HAVING DEALT WITH THE INCONSISTENT MARKING I NOW FIND MYSEFL NOT DOIN THINGS BECAUSE I THINK THATS WHAT IS RIGHT BUT BECAUSE I THINK THAT IS WHAT THIS EXAMINER WANTS THATS NOT RIGHT.

THE TEST PRICE HAS ALREADY INCREASED SINCE MY FIRST TEST
IF THEY GO AHEAD WITH THIS NONSENSE OF MAKING IT EVEN HARDER MORE EXEPENSIVE TO STOP ALL THE BOY RACES WILL JUST END IN EVEN MORE PEOPLE ON THE ROAD WITHOUT A LICENCE. LETS FACE IT ALL U GET FOR DRIVIN WITHOUT ONE IS ABOUT £250 FINE THE COSTS OF LESSON TEST ETC INSURANCE WELL MORE ITS WORTH GETTING CAUGHT.

Just had a go again today. I passed! Great feeling! It was well worth all the time and effort...and money

I found it easyer second time around. I wasn't as nervous, and it is much easier to keep your feet still on the pedals when your legs are not shaking! I was calmer due to knowing what to expect, knowing I was ready, plus a bath with enough lavender oil the night before and few drops of it on the pillow. I will suggest antyspasmodic stomach medicine too, like colofac, it enough helps to keep butterflies under control and doesn't affect your brain in any way.
Good luck to anyone having a go at the test. It has been the scariest exam ever, but, If I can do it(being total nervous wreck) anyone can!

failed my driving test 3 times got my 4th coming up and i will probably fail that one as well the exemaners are full of crap the ask you to reverse around a corner and even if you do it perfect they will tell you u have hit it cos its there word against yours. they decide wether you have passed before you get in the car

lol. i failed...knew it straight away....so funny because i over reacted saying "oh no i've failed, i really wanted to pass".

pulled out on a roundabout in front of a lorry, who then blew his horn so hard.

will try again and hopefully pass!

So true mate i failed mine today because a driver came at ME on the roundabout so she basically failed my test for me if it wouldnt of been for her id of passed with 12 minors GUTTED

I am absolutly gutted i took my first car practical test today and failed due to another person!!! I got 12 minors and then a major because she pulled out in front of me she did it so quick and as soon as i saw her i stopped!!! im so angry that they are actually allowed to fail the pupils because of other idiot drivers its a disgrace, 5 minutes before the end of my test as well im fuming and gutted [/b]

Hey,

Pupils are getting angered if not selected in the driving test who often applying for more than one test. Loosing on any part may lead to disappointment and depression. To avoid such things just go through TAPS THERAPY. it will help ful to you.

There was a news item on the Radio/TV today about a young girl who failed because she splashed a pedestrian waiting at a bus stop. She recons she should have passed.

I have been splashed many times on my way to work etc and apart from being incredibly annoying, it damages clothing (oil and other waste vehicle liquids laying on the road plus who knows what that has come out of the drains!) all of which is now on your clothes. I had to turn around and go home on one occasion because I was splattered in mud and drenched. (by a passing truck - yes I called the company and the transport manager offered to pay for cleaning etc).

The law is clear its "Driving with undue care and attention" amongst others. What do you guys think, should she have passed!!

i have a driving test in a few weeks but cant stop thinking about it. im really nervous as i nearly had an accident in my last lesson, and my instructer had to press the brake for me. someone pulled out infront of me, and they had hardly any room to, but it happened so fast i just was shitting it after.

my test route is in heaton which is not the best route and im just dreading that someone is going to cause me to fail and i dont know how i would be able to take that. please some advice

Something similar happened on my first test, examiner hit the brakes for no apparent reason (i.e. no one pulling out etc) he apologised after but it finished my nerves off completely and I failed on a wierd bit of road that starts off dual and goes into a one way system.

Anyway, my best advice would be to look and think ahead, assume every car on side roads, roundabouts etc are going to pull out on you and be ready for it yourself, don't trust anyone even if they correctly make intentions known using indicators etc, I drive like this generally and have yet to have an accident (Been driving now for about 20 years in various countries).

I failed my first test today , I geared myself up to pass it and somehow halfway through I had a complete blonde moment. Apparently I went through an amber light . I also didn't give way on one of those junctions with the large arrow and the small arrow and then totally screwed up a bay parking in the test centre , wot I'm really bummed about is that the next test isn't until november as there's nothing left for October.

I now have major aftertest blues (if there is such a thing)

Hi there, I've read all of the comments about how disappointing it is to fail your driving test; I know, I've been there! As a Driving Instructor I was really naffed off about the number of good drivers that fail their test not because of bad driving but because of 'nerves on the day'. Hi Everyone

I failed my test on Saturday, 5 minors and one serious. Came to a roundabout, examiner asked me to go right but I indicated left, then he told me very sternly 'I said right', now normally I would have said, it's too late now sorry, but the test nerves got the better of me and I quickly got into the right lane, but didn't check both mirrors!! Could have kicked myself!!

Anyway, I rebooked straight after for Oct 2nd but today a friend of mine was adamant that you have to wait two weeks before rebooking, is this true?

Diane is tapstherapy the same as EFT? I have been doing EFT tapping for a few months now and did some for driving test nerves, although I didn't pass, I wasn't even half as nervous as I would normally be in that kind of situation, no shaking legs or anything. It really did help!

Hi there,
Firstly, your friend is wrong, thankfully! You can't take a driving test for 10 working days (ie a fortnight including weekends) but you can book it as soon as you have failed, so long as you're not still crying onto your computer keyboard!

Yes, TFT is similar to EFT. There's a lot of info. on the web, but basically TFT came first, and EFT followed along similar lines. TFT has different tapping points for different things, e.g. you may feel andger towards the examiner, guilt at letting your friends down etc. and with TFT you would tap a specific point for each of these emotions. However, with EFT you tap every point all of the time. I have been told that TFT is more effective, but having not trained in EFT, I can't give you exact comparisons. What I can say is however, you will be amazed at how much better you feel after TFT, like you were with EFT. Nothing can guarantee that you are going to pass but if your drive is good enough, then TFT will help loads.
