High Heel Sneakers?

Postby Koichi Ito on Wed Aug 06, 2008 10:24 am

Have you heard of High Heel Sneakers? Do you know that High Heel Sneakers were popular in late 1970's and early 1980's but disappeared after that. Why?

Because they're a very stupid idea.

Exercise in heels, what are they planning to do, walk slowly with intent? It's daft because trainers have a purpose and have been designed to fulfill that purpose. They're not a fashion accessory. If you want trainee heels get something with a low heel and work up. If you get trainers, go running. You might enjoy it.

I have a pair of what could be called "high heel sneakers". They are blue canvas (with white rubber bottom trim and soles) and look much like sneakers except for the four inch heel.

They're made for gullible people who have more money than sense. If you have a short Achilles through wearing heels to often then you won't run very far before injury stops you. Your biomechanics just won't allow it. You can't run properly in heels, it's ridiculous to think you can. An Achilles injury is a very serious injury indeed, all the might of China couldn't fix their hurdler so high heel sneekers certainly won't work. Wear them for fashion if you wish but don't think about running in them. Get yourself sorted and wear runners specific to your own bio-mechanics bought on recommendation from a running shop.

Never mind this medical talk about high heel shoes. One thing is sure that High Heel Sneakers is kind of high heel shoes that someone like Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O'Donnell will love to wear it. Or only high heel shoes that Macho Men can wear it!

Why we don't ask designer footwear industries like Christian Louboutin, Casadei SpA., Manolo Blahnik Limited, and Jimmy Choo Limited to make Atheletic Shoes?
