Wearing boots in the summer

My black knee high boots are probably what I wear most all year round, just because they go with about anything I wear on a day to day basis, whether a long or short skirt, or you can wear pants over them. I've never found them uncomfortable in the summer unless the day was really crazy hot, then I might switch to sandals, but I'm kind of insecure about my feet (bigger than most girls...)

Well with the heat last week it was way too warm for boots...even for a cowgirl like me. But it has cooled down a lot here and I wore boots all day yesterday and to work today to combat the rain.

It completely baffles me why some people seem to think they have the right to do that, i.e. just walk up to someone and criticize what they're wearing, or some other aspect of their personal appearance (even worse, body size or shape). What is it that impells people to do that? Does it make them feel better about themselves to put someone else down?

A friend of mine, who tends to look rather goth a lot of the time (but I think she looks great!) works a booth at the local mall, and apparently the other day some woman walked up to her and said, "I HATE your makeup!" and then walked away... WTF???

I think stiletto boots are the hottest thing a woman can wear, any time of year! Actually to me, it shows confidence to wear them in July.

You don't mention whether the boots had high heels or not, which of course greatly affects their sexiness factor.

Assuming they did, no doubt they - and both of you - were hot, hot, hot, regardless of temperature, and pay that woman no mind.

The "summer" here in the Uk for the last month has been so bad that I have got all my boots out again. Just to pretend it is summer I have been wearing them with shorts or a short skirt, but with tights as well! Hopefully we will get some more summer soon or my boots will all be worn out before winter!

I LOVE boots! Wear them all the time. Can't belive that woman had the cheek to tell you you shouldn't be wearing them. What a bloody nerve!!
The only thing i don't understand is people who wear Uggs when it's sweltering outside. Their feel must get really sweaty

i wear them in the winter, but in summer......if we had a summer....i generally wear flats or sandals
