I see he's leaving , too bad . Although I didn't agree with him often and didn't like his attack thread on Swee still liked him .You have to admit he did alot to keep this forum lively and thats what it's all about

The colonel really took alot of flaming . Often unfair from several people at a time . Never have liked the idea of a posse going after one person unless ofcourse they were a major league troll here to make trouble . And nobody can say he was that , right or wrong Colonel just wrote his opinions like everyone else.


Really was disgusted too by the attacks on his family , thats plain nasty . Including his gay son and getting so low as to dis his wife's expectant child . How disgusting can you get ?


Don't want to name names in this but do think someone from NYC who prides himself on coming from such a sophisticated place got too wild as in the past about peopel not agreeing with him . I thought coming from such diverse place wud make you more tolerant or at least smart enough to know not everyone will agree with you and you can't fly off the handle when they don't .Also el Fred who I think trys to be obnoxious for fun went too far too .

I expect the Colonel will be back. Perhaps he just needs a bit of time away. If it gets to the point where you are taking things too seriously then perhaps it is time to focus energies elsewhere.

This section has been used as a game by many members and perhaps we all ought to stop playing and start having stimulating debates which do not descend into games - where people are giving each other validation by being insulting of each other.

I think that even when insults are flying - people are paying each other a compliment both with the initial insult and then the response. In this sense all sides are guilty and cannot claim victim status.

I told you where I got my quote "AIDS is a gay disease" it came directly from "Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force".... Do you think Matt Foreman had hatred when he said that? All I did was quote him.

And my quote, number 5., is my theory, based on the things I have read, and things I have directly learned from homosexuals in my life.

Now that we know the REAL reason you are so "pro-gay", maybe we should all just back off a little bit because you are obviously biased. No Christian is saying that your son doesnt deserve your love, and no Christian is saying that your son is going to Hell. Of course you love your son. But as any good parent would know (including God) you love your children in many ways, including discipline, and no parent loves the wrongdoings of their children (just like God).

I love your son and I will pray for him. At 16 years old, he is clearly confused. Keep in mind that just because you didn't molest him does not mean that NOTHING else caused him to become gay.

Is there ANY chance that someone else has done it? Go on and ask him. Of course, any decent parent would have a talk with their kids, at least a few times a year, about how "no one should touch you in your naughty parts". Have you had this talk with him? Have you ever asked him if someone has touched him wrong?

Or is he becoming gay because that's what is popular and availible in the world today? Does he have a father figure in his life, telling him right from wrong every day? Or by chance, are you split up from his mother and he is left with no model for being a man? Am I correct that you are from England? Am I correct that gay "marriage" is legal there? hmmmm, I wonder if that's why he is gay.

The truth is, none of it matters because God can and will forgive him and take him to Heaven if he simply asks Him too.

I pretty much agree with Lena's OP so I haven't got too much to add.

I don't agree with everything he has said, but then I've got friends in real life who say things I don't agree with too.

I remember him from my early days on FF and on one occasion, on JFM I think, someone questioned my right to be there and to post as I was not a member at the time. The Colonel defended me and said I was welcomed by most.

These things are not forgotten.
