Poem about how love can change us...
You have changed me.
Changed.
Changer.
Changeling.
You’ve stripped me of all unworthy cause.
All that’s left is made pure by you.
Dipped me in your volcanic fires.
Returned to ash; to what I once was.
Left in innocent delights
Bereft of magnificence and nights
Without you.
You’ve scarred me to a moment’s choosing
When once I was winning
I can only focus on losing
And I am marked
By moments that I met you
By moments that I get you
And moments that I let you...
Measured out by those moments
Into minutes and days
And all kinds of ways you’ve changed me.
Endless summers may not dry me
Freezing winters may not chill me
All seasons may pass
Where summer flowers to mossed icy grass
All the changes you’ve made in me will indefinitely last.
