Triple Olympic gold medal winner Chris Hoy has astonished friends and fellow athletes by swallowing one of his gold medals for a bet!
"Chris was larking around with some of the female athletes and showing off a bit when one of the girls commented his medals looked a bit like chocolate coins" an athlete told us. "Chris said, I bet you I can eat this one if you do the splits naked to one of the gymnasts". "She agreed so he tore it off the ribbon and swallowed it down, helped by swig of Vodka" he added.
This isn't the first time a British athlete has swallowed a medal. Daley Thompson famously tried to grill one of his gold medals back in 1987 and Sir Steve Redgrave accidentally swallowed one of his thirty-seven gold medals when he fell off his boat.
A spokesman for Team GB dismissed the claims as ludicrous so we've included their comment on the advice of our lawyer.
