Somehow I get the feeling that there is a history with this young man that you are not telling us about. Was he an uncle, a friend, a lover or the husband of your best friend. I know I'm sounding somewhat sarcastic, but I'm trying to point out that there's a wide range of possibilities and without telling us the background, we can be of no help real help to you.
In an attempt to make the picture a little clearer so we
can help you, sounds like the strongest possibility was that he was a lover or at least a "person of interest." So what happened?
