Firefox "British" English dictionary.

Has anyone used this? I got sick of the Australian English dictionary (it's really a spell checker) because a lot of words weren't in it and it occasionally gave corrections to words that were definitely spelled correctly. Now I've uninstalled the Australian version and got the British dictionary plug-in. Only this ones even worse. It's actually a US English dictionary mislabled as British, but also has many common words missing.

Does anyone know of a true English Dictionary plug-in for Firefox?

I wish. The American one gets on my tits.

It's difficult because of the quirks of English with forming word endings and the or/our exceptions to get a program to match up perfectly. I have the Canadian spellchecker plug in installed in mine which is great but it's no substitute for a proper dictionary or dare I say it learning off by heart certain spellings.

This is an old thread.

You can download the English dictionary here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3366/

The next time you write something in Firefox right-click a word, select "languages" and choose English/United Kingdom. No more color!
