My bf was physically attacked by his 13 year old daughter after asking her to put on appropriate clothes. The whole episode was unbelievable. I don't have children, but I'm trying to give my bf advice. His daughter left the house immeadiately after assaulting her father and went home to her mother. She has not called to apoligize and we haven't heard from Mom. He is okay physically, but alarmed at the nature of the response from his daughter. Any advise?

You could start by learning how to spell "discipline!"

You could quit sleeping with his daughter's mother's husband. What's the rest of the story behind the temper tantrum? Teens don't take too kindly to homewreckers, or who they perceive to be a homewrecker.

Teens don't take too kindly to homewreckers, or who they perceive to be a homewrecker and she could just be acting out her pain. 13 year olds are not easy even in the best of circumstances.

Your bf and his ex should jointly set standards for their daughter that she will be expected to follow regardless of which parent she is with. You should stay out of the decision making process, but once they have set the standards you should help your bf enforce them so his daughter does not think she can get around the standards by going through you.

I think first of all, that child may have psychological issue...if she is one healthy minded child, she may not be that bad-tempered or is it due to this mum-dad separation situation? Find it out...and all child needs to be taught properly..and disciplined...rules must be there.....it seems like you adults here are having something to be solved first hand first..so deal with it patiently...she's a child after all.....
Pre-destiny is something I sort of believe in. However, holding onto my own principles is something I always keep in mind.
