Left my wife at a house party and came home (I hate house parties).

I have 1 hair on the back of my left knee area that grows 20x faster, longer and blacker than all the rest. It's been that way for as long as can remember. Hmm, I wonder why that is.

I know what you mean. I have strange pure white hairs that are extremely fine that grow at an alarming rate. My wife pulls them out of my back and they can sometimes be three inches long and seem to appear overnight.

Oh those. Yes, I have them too. They are popping out of my head. I've been pulling them out for years but, if I pull anymore, I'll be bald.

Most likely a hormone imbalance caused that strand of hair to become thicker and darker. This change makes the hair stronger and more active. The change is irreversible. After the hormone balance is restored, the hair remains thicker and darker. You have probably used waxing and plucking with tweezers and achieved temporary hair removal. In this case, laser hair removal may be idea for permanent hair removal.

Thanks jinjin, for the info. It's been that way for as long as I can remember... even in my teens. It doesn't bother me. I'm rather fond of that old straggly hair.

PS If it was on my face, that would be a different story. If laser didn't get it, suicide would. Yikes! :puke: :D

I get the odd pure white hair too.
One of my female cousins had dead-straight pure-white hair when she was little. Exactly the same as the little girl on the Poltergeist movies. :o

There's also home electrolysis kits available now. They're very cheap and supposed to be exactly the same as the type used in salons, only a compact version.

I don't give a rat's behind about that. It's one hair on the back of my leg. Like I said, I'm rather fond of it. Maybe one day I can get it entered in the Guinness Book of Records.
