I've been out to a bookstore this afternoon and got another fantastic book. This one's called "Nutrition Almanac, Fight disease, boost immunity, and slow the effects of aging." I already have info on all that stuff, but I can always learn more. I mostly got it because about 1/4 of the book is tables of food composition. ie. There's a food listed, eg. Broccoli, then a breakdown of how much iron, calcium etc. is found in that food.
It may seem a bit boring, but I've been after a book like this for a while, so I'm excited.

I watched a documentary about 9/11 last night. It was like seeing it all for the first time again. I must admit I even dropped a few tears.

I've just watched the Letterman interview with Barack Obama. It was very interesting. Thanks again for telling me about it.
Someone uploaded the first 1/3 of the interview to SpewTube, so I linked it in the thread I started down in Politics. Hopefully that will put an end to the trouble I inadvertently started.
Barack more than clarified the whole situation. It's terrible how the media twisted his words just to make a good headline.

We've got a pretty simple tax system, which is good, but the lower end of the pay scale aren't paid enough while the upper end pay ridiculous amounts of tax.
I'd love to know how your tax system works.

Since 1989? That's a long time. I have a German friend that visits me often. She loves coming over. I've never been there. I'd be willing to visit just to eat. One of my friends had a BF that was a German chef. OH my, I loved dining at their house. However he was not such a nice person so she and he are no more.

I hope all is well and you have a peaceful and relaxing weekend. I plan to stay home and do the much needed domestic tasks. YUCK!
