coming off microgynon 30

Not sure if this is the right topic to post in, but microgynon is to prevent pregnancy...

I've been on it for a year, last month I had a bleed about two weeks after the bleed that comes during the 7 day break, and then again during the next 7 day break. Anyone experienced this or know why it has happened?

I then decided to stop taking the pill because of all the horrible side effects, it just wasn't worth it any more, but I've been feeling sick for the past few days (I was meant to take the first pill on Friday after the 7 day break, but didn't and have continued to not take the pills - it is now Tuesday). Anyone experienced this at all? Any explanations?

No matter what pill you've been taking, you very often feel sick, bloated, sore boobs etc. when you come off due to the change in hormones.

If you're worries u could always check what's normal for that pill with family planning? Hope that's useful. Take care.

I was on microgynon for 3 months before it started making me horrendously ill, the final straw came when I was so ill I had to stay in bed for virtually a week with stomach and head pains and everything I ate I threw up.

I changed it to cerazette which is great because it doesn't have any oestrogen in it meaning it's good for those who get affected by hormones etc, you won't have a period at all but it hasn't given me any problems, not even the usual sore breasts, I recommend it.
