I did suicide before and will probably do it again. But please dont spam this forum. I hate skimming through all 400 page again trying to find the important message.

For those using TCA acid. How long did it take for peeling to start. I applied very thin layer of 50% tca acid, it didn't peel at all after 13 day. And it looks like it isn't even going to.

I noticed with tca a couple of times when I first started using it that I had to apply multiple layers to get it to peel. As in, I applied a layer the first day but on the 2nd day I just felt it was not going to be enough so applied another layer. I am not suggesting you do that with 50% though, it may be that you are resistant to it, or that its gone off if you have had it for a long time. Perhaps you could try diluting it then do a multi layer application to a small area of skin (somewhere you have not recently applied it to) and see if that peels? Most people start to peel after 5 days or so, but I try and make it take longer by keeping the skin really moist, so usually don't peel until around 7 days.

Ryt.

To whoever was going to commit suicide take heed.

I read an interview with pharrel williams of NERD fame. He's having this surgery wherein he is having his skin cloned then sown onto him (i dont know the particulars but this is what he was chattin about) - fair enough its to cover up his tatoos, but reckon that this may be something that will be replicated for sms.

Wish i knew him personally to ask the name of his surgeon, or the proceedure, but suprisingly i dont.

My sms are everywhere. Arms, Hips, thighs, boobs (which kills me), bum and lower back. My sister has them everywhere too. I wish i had cure (or time for a routine like js to try to cure them - but am workin sooo hard i cant commit) But theres hope. HOPE.

Dont give up, just cos we dont know every procedure goin - dont mean there arent any out there that can cure em.

Has anyone had actual dermabrasion done? not micro but the heavy supposedly really expensive dermabrasion? Or... "Dermasound"? I strangely couldn't find dermabrasion options in my area but I did find that, I guess it 'gently' exfoliates '25-50% of the skin's top layers' and cost only about $125.

I heard about that too!!! It's crazy! That would be a miracle if it actually worked. I'm sure I'd have to rob a bank to be able to afford it... and at this point, I'm willing to do anything. Haha :)

i heard its costing him 6 figures (a few hundred thousand dollars). thats for the area the size of a small fireball on his arms.

i estimate for me to remove all my stretch marsk via this method it would cost me around 30million :D

whose up for robbing that bank

well i was searchin ebay trying to find a reputable seller of tca, and whilst looking through the feedback (hundreds of the post) i saw someone who said she had removed her stretch marks in 11 peels, lots of other good comments too but obviously not all of them had used it on stretch marks and most just leave a reply saying something along the lines of "good product good delivery " or "poor delivery".

So I called in to a national talk radio show about dermatology. I asked the doctor if there was anything that "cured" stretch marks or even diminished them. She said that the fraxel co2 laser was the only thing she said improved the sm's at all. And that it only softened them. She said nothing will remove them. I asked about retin-a and she said it does nothing. So I asked about TCA peels and she said that she would never recommend peels on the body because you can easily get burned and it can cause scarring. But... she didn't say that it wouldn't work or at least help. I'm thinking perhaps she wouldn't want to put herself on the line and okay it and then have tons of people harm themselves. When I go to my dermatologist next week I'll be more specific and ask "if done by a professional, would TCA peels work?"

We'll see. I'm not giving up hope!

TCA definitely improves stretch marks on some people. Ok I cannot say it will definitely remove mine, (until it has removed them), but it certainly gives the very best chance of complete removal imo and I have a lot of confidence in it.

I just did a TCA peel yesterday and I had no peeling. My skin does feel "dryer" than the surrounding skin even though I have been smearing coconut oil on the areas frequently. I guess I will have to go up in strength. Again, I did not experience any burning or stinging (like with my 30% glycolic). I wanted to know though--since I did not experience anything really from the peel would it be a good decision to do it again in a few days? Like 5 days?

Mai, I wanted to know what board/site did you find out about injecting peptides into SMs? I would like to check that out--just out of curiousity. I know it is quite painful. Have you seen any results yet?

J, I know you have said your marks aren't gone completely yet but about what percentage of improvment have you seen? And are you experiencing a lot of hyperpigmentation? I know you have said that you have "browner" skin and so do I so I am just wondering about the severity of hyperpigmentation.

First of all, if you only applied the solution yesterday it will take about 4 or 5 days for the skin to flake, it does not happen straight away. The skin gradually goes leathery over the coming days, so i would wait and see if you peel after 5 to 7 days. If you don't peel it may be that you need to do a 2 layer next time on the area, but proceed with caution.

The improvements are about 50 or 60% on when I started I would guess. Its hard to say, I can hardly remember now what the marks were like at the start. There are a few areas that are slower, say about 30% improvement, but most are responding really well. It may be that the marks are deeper in these few areas, even though all my marks are relatively thin ones, not the wider stretch marks some people have.

I have brown skin and I do get hyperpigmentation, but I will worry about that when I am done with the peels. Besides hyperpigmentation seems to clear up on me over time anyway.

I don't know how many areas you are treating, but try and rotate them rather than doing them all at the same time, you should get better results that way (presuming that tca works on you).

Don't use too strong a peel if you are brown. I would guess that 30% is absolutely the top of what you should try over time. Brown skin pigmentation can be permanently damaged if the tca is strong from what I have read.
