had my first test today, and failed. So cut too.

i had zero minors...ZERO!!(friggin sheet said so) and then we were coming back to the centre and he tells me to turn into a street. there are cars coming down and most of them pass and i decide to go, just as i begin to creep over the double white lines, another car comes up and i stop. Over the the double white line.

i go back and he said that he was going to pass me but because i did that i failed...i was so close too, about 45 seconds from passing.

i want to cry :'(

Hey everybody, i have my fourth test this Friday. I feel like i am going to have some sort of breakdown if i fail again. I really need a car so bad, and i hate telling people ive failed.

They fail you on the stupidest thing, and i also heard that they can only pass a certain amount of people each day, and i guess i have always been out of luck.

I really hope this time i pass but i just dont have any confidence in it :(

I failed mine today. Everything was fine, all my manoeuvers were perfect and then as I can out of this really blind junction this taxi just zoomed right round in front of me. God I hate all taxi drivers now, if it wasnt for them i would have passed!! And The DSA didnt have me on the system so my test was really late. Annoyingly if it had been on time I would have approached that junction when the taxi driver wasn't there and would have passed. I wish people would stop saying there is a silver lining to this, I am failing to see one.

I know how you feel, taxi drivers think its another rule for them. Most of the time you fail because an idiot driver made you fail. Sucks.

I have my test this afternoon. I drove perfect last night, i just hope i do it today. I need to pass so bad for my own sanity!

Congratulations.
Now you carry on learning. There's lots out there, motorways, bad weather, roads you don't know, etc.
We should never stop learning.

i failed my first attempt today. But i dont feel as bad as i thought i still havent burst out into tears lol. also i wasnt nervous as i thought probably because my examiner was lovely. I had 3 minors and 2 serious - it was fair. But the test centre is closing down s i have to book at another i wanted the same examiner again LOL.

i guess one of the reasons i wasnt that nervous was because i never told anyone i was going for my test.

Good luck everyone xxxx

During your driving lessons, it is important that you feel safe in the car as you need all of your concentration on what is going on around you to make sound judgement and if your mind is pre-occupied with other things, then you will not be able to react quickly to dangers. However there are times when disgraceful driving instructors will try to hit on you. In most cases it is a male driving instructor trying to flirt with a female learner.

You should know that it is against the Code of Practice for an Approved Driving Instructor to misbehave with his/her pupil. Driving instructors are supposed to teach you how to drive and not harass you in any way. So if you feel your teacher is behaving in a non-appropriate way with you or not giving you any respect or consideration, then you need to make a complaint against that driving instructor.
All approved driving instructors have a pink or green badge which should be clearly visible on the car's windshield when they are teaching. The badge is a proof of their license as a driving instructor and without it they cannot demand payment for the driving lessons. If they try to act clever and increase the fees for the driving lessons every now and then without any valid justification, you can report them for that too.
First thing you need to do is complain to the driving school for which he/she works for. If the outcome is not satisfactory, then you can approach the Driving Standards Agency Registrar of Approved Driving Instructors and use either the full name of the instructor or their ADI number to report them.

Be clear and concise when you are speaking to the representative of the DSA and tell them exactly why you are willing to make a complaint as this will enable them to lodge an investigation against the instructor. The latter may be suspended or have their license taken away if found guilty and you may even get a compensation as well depending upon the circumstances.

Remember if your driving instructor is abusing their power as a tutor in any other way not mentioned here and taking advantage of you, report them straight away. The sooner you do that, the better! :)

Below is the contact info (address & telephone number) which you need to make a complaint about a driving instructor:

don't let em get away with anythin people

Hi everyone,
I've failed my driving test 5 times now. its been a few years since i have wanted to start again as the way it made me feel i never wanted to feel again! It may sound dramatic but i beleive it has in a way ruined my life, its destryed my self confidence not just with driving but in everything.I used to be so confident and bubbly but now being 21 still living at home with parents and will be moving to a house which is so rural even public transoprt is limted i am worried about loosing all of what little freedom i have.
Before i knew i was moving i arranged for some lessons.. but after a few days of realising i would be taking the test again i thought im just not putting myself through this! and cancelled it all.
So it has know got to the point that i dont have the choice anymore i have to do this otherwise will prob have to be extremely unhappy and stuck in a house in the middle of nowhere or move to a big city on my own where i dont need a car to get around.
I cant have either of these, i would like to move out but would like to be happy and stable and not just move out because of this.
I am a good driver i know i am but for some reason on the day i get into situations that dont happen in my lessons and i make the wrong judgement. To me there is a block and i cant see my self doing it as there is soo much to think about and one thing wrong and thats it.
So 2moro i will be phoning an instructor and arranging everything, im going to have hypnosis as i heard it may help with nerves as even now i feel sick and i wont be taking my test for a few weeks yet..infact havnt booked it yet!
I have brought a book which is highly recommended " A girls guide to loosing your L plates" It brings you back to reality and makes you realise you are like everyone else and thousands and thousands take there test every day.
I hope this time i will pass if not on my 6th but 7th 0r 8th test as i will not give up on just one more attempt. If i get there i will never take it for granted, it would mean i could be who i want to be and my life would change, i could be a young lady rather than a teenager living at home with no freedom or confidence.
I will let everyone know if i pass and i hope this can be some encouragement to anyone who feels the same.. you are not alone, alot of people feel this way and hopefully we can pass soon.!

Hi,

I just took my 2nd test this morning and failed. I got 4 serious faults (same as last time) with 1 dangerous fault for driving too close to a van that was parked near a roundabout. I only got 2 minors though :D which is a massive improvement on last time's 11.
I was more nervous this time round which I don't think helped things. It's hard not to be though.
Just got to keep thinking I will get there eventually. Most people I know passed 3rd time so hopefully that'll be me *fingers crossed*

failed today

i failed today cos the examiner decided to brake due to her sayin i could have hit a post on the pavement, despite the front end of the car already being passed the post when she braked, needless to say i disagreed greatly but i have booked my next test for 2 n half weeks time. So hopefully wont have the same examiner that feels its necessary to brake for me as if i was going to hit it, im feel capable to push that pedal myself. silly old cow :D

Hi guys,
I failed last week! Was gutted. Got a major four minutes in - I was turning right across a junction, thought I had time but my examiner didn't and grabbed the wheel - the other car wasn't even passed me when I rolled to a stop! Anyway - I have a question. See if you get a major - do you get to continue with the test? I paid my £50-odd quid and only got four minutes driving time before I was made to return to the test centre! :( Don't know how I would have faired with minors etc so I don't even get a grip on where my driving skills might be. Thanks

I failed because i didn't over take a lorry but i felt it was 1.pointless and 2. dangerous - he couldn't see what i saw. dick.
