I went to the park with my kids it had been raining heavily so i wore my leather high heel boots. the plan was to stay on the paths but the kids wanted to feed the ducks my boots were sinking in the grass and got caked in mud. Does anyone else have a similar expierence.

Hi Single Mum,

Yeah, I have had the same problem, - were you able to get your boots clean? Also, were you going straight home afterwards or did you have to go somewhere else in your muddy boots?

I posted before about my problems on my walk to work. I have to walk along a muddy path, and several times recently I have got my trousers splattered with mud and my Ankle Boots really muddy, to such an extent that on a couple of occasions I have had to take my boots off in the bank where I work and go in my socks all day!!

I am wondering whether I should buy a pair of patterned wellies to wear to work and then change into heels when I get there?

Hope to hear more of your experience and any advise you may have soon.

Julie.

Don't do that. They look terrible.
If you wear man made shoes or boots, they only need a wipe over with a damp cloth to make them shine like new again and they look sooo much better than wellies. Patent shoes are really good for this but many leather boots clean easily too.
Get a packet of wet wipes or baby wipes and keep them in your bag or desk at work. They work a treat on dirty shoes.

I'm with Sarah on the wellie boots suggestion. Stick to your heeled boots, they'll look waaay better and you can always use a babywipe or a damp cloth to bring the shine back like she said.

My path to work is currently absolutely covered in wet leaves so its like a skating rink when I'm wearing my girly work shoes.

Wow, sounds like me and my shoes are very girly too! What sort of shoes were you wearing?

Yes, but I have my old age to wear flats! I'll suffer for my heels even if that means sinking into mud and spending ages wiping... Platforms are my solution to mud!

Hi EliseHeel

I agree with you. Loving those platforms by the way, they're gorgeous. Are the bottoms slippery tho?
