yes it definitely helps, thanks so much, i havent had time to get the catsor oil,but i thought i might try my cocobutter lotion that i think has vitamin A in it,with emu oil ontop, since its used as a pusher.and try the saran wrap & heating pad in the mean time.

how long do you leave the heating pad on?

i also use a 2mm derma roller every six weeks, and put strivectin sd and emu oil on top after( mabe ill try the heating pad right after i roll with the strivectin sd & emu oil.
). and i use the walmart (equate) version of the vasalene cocobutter lotion in between.as i said i think it has vitamin A in it,and it helps the pink fade quicker after i roll, but i wait a few days. so far i cant say i have any real results, but ill keep every1 posted, and ive only been doing this 3 times

heres the dermarolling website i also read and post on,some people have said they had good results on stretchmarks. of course with some creams after,im saving up to get some good ones.

Hi,

I tried the castor oil wrap method a while back. I had a lot of problems with it because I couldn't find a heating pad that would get hot enough. I'm in the UK and I ordered a sauna belt (i think) It had a US plug so i assume it was from there but it didnt really get hot enough. I also tried a different heating pad from the uk but same problem so in the end I just held my legs over my electric heater. It was really hard to heat up the marks in this way but there was a part of one mark which consistently did get red from the heat and I think I did see improvement there, a line of normal skin through the mark. I gave up the method because of the difficulty. It really is hard to get enough of the marks hot and I have loads. So I was wondering if anyone knew a good heating pad which is available in the uk? Please suggest ones if you know any that get hot and stay hot.

My sm's are also white silvery and start off that way too. I am asian but not particularly dark. Probably olive skin tone is best way to describe it.

I think I am noticing new sm's now on my arms. I really don't want them there, I have faint white marks there but they aren't shiny and silver like on my legs. I really don't want them to get any worse. I am taking vitamin A,C,E,Selenium, Zinc, Omega oils and and another vitamin which is good for skin and hair.I also moisturise daily using palmers coco butter and I drink plenty of water. I am not over weight or loosing/gaining weight at the momoent.
Is there anything else that I should be doing??

Please help with advice where you can. Feeling pretty alone in this at the moment because there isn't really anyone I can talk to.

and to make things better i went shopping today for new clothes, i was trying a new shirt on and as i took my shirt off (something i hate doing) i caught a glimpse of my stretch marks (and though i hate looking at them and try to avoid it at all costs) and decided to inspect them. they looked HORRENDOUS. ive never seen them look so bad. the lighting there really brought out every little sm. i didnt even know that they took up my entire back i thought it was just the middle section. they cover my entire back now and arc round towards the front of my body. i can see them on the sides of my body now from the front without even looking in a mirror. im just lost for words right now. i ended up putting back all the clothes without even trying them on as i was so p!ssed off/depressed.

its so frustrating knowing that there is nothing i can do. i just have to wait it out til theres a cure in 5yrs? 10yrs? 20? 50? during my lifetime? and i just cant handle that. sitting back and doing nothing is driving me mad but i dont see what else i can do.

if anyone else has any suggestions pls pls pls help me. i dont even know of any method to try now. i may just carry on with the tca though it hasnt shown any improvement and it has started causing dark brown discoloration.

sorry for the vent again guys but man im p!issed

im sorry for you. i too am in exactly the same situation. i have sm on my back and they beigin to arc around the sides of my body towards my front. in certain light, they look HORRENDOUS and in regular light they STILL are disgusting, but not quite as disgusting. the worst part about it all is that they are sooooooooooo deep, im afraid to ever have sex with any1 because if they touch my back and feel the coarse, disgusting, alligator skin they might freak out and leave. its the worst thing in the world. and like you said the worst part about it is that all we can do is sit back and WAIT for a cure. but who knows when that will happen? 5-10 years? even if it was in 3 years thats STILL a long time! am i supposed to wait another 3 years without being in a relationship or having sex in my entire life? its sooo depressing

someone recently posted a pill called livadone. it seems like a scam, but maybe its worth a try ...i really do believe if theres ever a cure, it will be from the inside out, not with lasers etc. everyday that goes by i look at my friends who have perfect normal lives. they might have their share of problems, but atleast they are COMFORTABLE in their skin. they are able to have sex and relationships and go to the beach and have confidence. im not though. the worst part about it all is that these are the most basic things in life, and i STILL cant do them ...most people take these basic things (like their skin for example) for granted, little do they know how lucky they are to not have sms like this. its so depressing. i want to kill myself :(

im know exactly how you feel. relationships/sex its extremely frustrating. especially when you do get talking to a girl and you like her and knowing that you cant take it any further (relationship wise that is or be it just sex). then shes angry at you for leading her on or waisting her time etc . its hard. and another frustrating thing is that we dont even know when a cure will be. we are all sat here waiting for it and it might not be for another 100yrs. at least if we knew it was 3 yrs away we could sit back and relax in the comfort that they are, in the not too distant future, going to be cured. but personally i cant see a cure coming that soon. so far we dont have anything that even remotely works. our best attempts are lasers which struggle to even produce 30% improvement let alone full removal and they charge a ridiculously large amount of money for it. then theres the fear that if they do find a treatment that works it will also cost a ridiculous amount of money. even so i would be willing to pay it as any sum of money is worth having my life back. but how long away will this miracle cure be. it feels like theres no one even trying to find a cure or help out the situation. no matter how much research i do (and ive been doing it for the past 3 or 4 years almost every night) i cant find anyone in the process of creating a cure or a new treament etc. all these years spent looking for a cure and still not a thing. this leads me to believe that another 5 or 10 years will pass by without a thing aswell, because the past 5/10 years havent brought much in terms of satisfactory sm reduction. i just dont know.

Ace243, I try to leave the heating pad on for at least 30 minutes if I can. Mine gets really hot so sometimes its hard b/c I don't want to make things worse by burning my skin. I used to just slather loads of the castor oil on and then immediately wrap with the saran wrap. Recently I started taking the time to really rub it in to the stretchmarks and I think that is really helping. I'm realizing now that when I just slathered it on before a lot of it was probably not going in to the skin as well as it is now. I really think its the consistency of it. I've tried this method for over a year and am just now really seeing a change and I think thats b/c I started making time to do it no matter what every day. I have gone down from twice a day to 1x a day this week b/c of the holidays I don't have time so I've tried to leave it on a little longer if I can stand it. Where are your stretch marks? Mine are on my thighs and bum so I just have to kind of sit on the heating pad or wrap in around my thigh and hold in place.

Never heard of this product and realize it won't do all that it says it will (none of them do!). However I wonder if this may be a good product to use on SMs since it has a lot of peptides in it and I hear folks here talking about how well copper peptides work even if they don't totally cure SMs.

If i knew my boyfriend was going through such torment and depression about his marks, I would be heartbroken. Knowing his mental health was suffering becuase he was so down about them, would be truely heartbreaking. That is the appropriate response, concern, care, and hearbreak, that he is so affected, his happiness, is so affected by it, and NOT laughing at, pointing and gasping, or ridiculing. I KNOW our society can be cut throat, there are many people out there who value being thin and and having clear skin as top qualities to have in a partner BUT there are also MANY, MANY with life experiece and a knowledge of what is truely imporant and rewarding to have in a friend or partner, such as care, sense of humor, optimistic outlook on life, self value, self respect etc - and this is not settling for second best, this is the way to have truely rewarding and satisfying relationships. Look for these types of people (probably not found in huge numbers at clubs, maybe pubs :)) and aim on taking care of yourself (ie. being physically fit, treating yourself well), working on moving to a place of self value and self respect (and you can tell when a person has this, can't you?) and improving the the qualtiy of you and how you react and respond to life - and you will find not only a bit of peace but better quality of friendships and even relationships.

Is this another spam post?

I took a look at the site. Personally I wouldn't send no $5.95 to a scam. Also, in the photos... take a look at the second lot of before and after pictures (Karen K - Boca Raton, FL) in the green underwear... the after photo is the exact same picture as the before, except the stretch marks have been photoshopped. Notice how the undewear elastic area is positioned EXACTLY the same in both pictures, hmmm... not so good at fooling people are they? lol.

I believe the best thing for us people with stretch marks is when other people don't react badly to them when they see/feel them. Either they take no notice or they try to understand how down we feel about them. Unfortunately, there aren't many people who will do that. I also think we understand how others should feel towards them because we have them ourselves. Maybe if we never had one stretch mark we would also react to them in that horrible way...?

i believe it is a scam post. i work in internet marketing and basically you promote other companies products and if you make a sale you earn commision. to earn this commission you have to send people through an affiliate link which has your affiliate ID on it. so if you see a long suspicious looking link or it has a line of numbers after it you know always to be weary of the posts (a lot of links have numbers etc in them and they maybe fine but affiliate links do follow a patern). a lot of you probably know this i just thought id give a quick insight into it since i work in this form business. links can be cloacked but thats a different story.

bc8 i completely agree with your last paragraph and i sometimes think that too. if i saw someone else with stretch marks it wouldnt bother me in the slightest, i would appreciate how it made them feel and if anything it would probably make me feel closer to them for understanding how they felt. now if i never had such horrendous stretch marks would i still feel the same way? would i look at them in a dissapproving manner if i had perfect skin?

Sorry.....relax.....not a scam post. I was really just asking for opinions on the peptide content of this product. I KNOW IT WILL NOT CURE SMs. NOTHING WILL. I was just wondering if this has the same or similar content as some of the other products people are using that contain copper peptides and that people are using in conjunction with peels, etc.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I didn't mean to sounds as if I was calling the poster a scammer, if I did I do apologise. But I did and do still feel that the link/site is a scam. Like G said, it is an affiliate type of link (why didn't I think of that I did affiliate marketing for 6 months!).

It's funny how all we want is something to make these marks look better. We're not asking for much are we? (although, I am sure if there was something out there that could totally erase them we would go for it).
But most treatments etc just don't do a thing, they don't change their appearance in any way whatsoever, which is rather depressing, time wasting and money wasting!
I'm happy with just finding something that would reduce the look of them by say 50%... not even to get rid of them completely. I will keep wishing though. Maybe one day.

Ok, I've just heard back from another permanent make up artist. She's based in Harley Street in London. She said it is possible to permanently cover up all my white stretch marks completely. However because my area is quite big (from about over my knees to my waist) it will take several visits for several months to finish. It will also not be cheap but I'm guessing it will be about the same as laser. I'm abroad now so I'm going to get an exact quote when I return in the new year. I'll let you know how it goes. I feel optimistic about this because this treatment just CAN'T not work, as it's simply camouflage and does not depend on your skin collagen or other factors etc. Fingers crossed!

i too would like to appologise you probably just went through an affiliate link and when you copy and pasted the link we saw an affiliate link and automatically assumed it was yours and that you were trying to sell. sorry.

it really is so frustrating. it seems like alot of old members arent posting anymore and i would love to hear from them. i remember someone who used to post here (kojiro i think) who worked in skin regeneration (or something like that sorry it was along time ago) and i would love to hear if he knows anything about us getting any closer to finding a cure. he seemed to know a lot about the subject and believed that the most improvement would come from lasers as this is the technology which is developing the quickest. tbh i hope it isnt lasers as i dont have a chance of being able to afford treatment but a cure is a cure wether its expensive or not. it would be nice to know that a cure isnt too far away. right now it seems like theres never going to be a cure or its going to be a long long time away. if anyone knows of any up and coming new treatments that look promising it would be very interesting to hear and it might help give me and others a little bit of hope which would be nice as right now im feeling crap about things.

I'm curious... so can I just ask anyone who is willing to answer...

Why do your stretch marks upset you? is it because of where they are on your body? or because of how many there are? if that makes sense.

For me, it's both. I have alot in many areas... so the fact that I have a lot of stretch marks that upsets me. Also, some of them are in places I would rather they weren't... because they aren't so easy to constantly hide/cover up, unless I want to walk around like a nun of course.

I think if I just had them on my thighs or bum (I still wouldn't like them of course) I think they really wouldn't effect my life so much! and I wouldn't be so obsessed over them all the time.I don't go out showing off my thighs or bum, so I could hide them. But when you have them on your arms, belly, boobs, back, hips, thighs, lower legs etc... it becomes a bit silly to be honest.

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you have a great day!
