Smooth family

Postby GemmaOzgirl on Sat Sep 10, 2005 2:39 am

In my family we are all quite comfortable about being nude in the house. I have 2 younger sisters. My mum has always been totally smooth (at least, as long as I can remember). When I got to puberty, it seemed quite strange when the hair started growing as I had not been used to seeing female pubic hair. She asked me if I wanted to take it off. As she was smooth it just seemed the normal thing to do, and i now shave legs and underarms too.

My 2 sisters shave it all off too. The youngest - 12 - has only just started. Many of my friends shave or wax all or most of it off. The general view seems to be that most men like it smooth or at least trimmed

I have had no negative comment from men at all. My current boyfriend loves it and in fact he has started shaving too. Feels great for normal sex and for oral too (both ways).

Apart from all that it just feels cleaner.

But everyone to their own choice. We all remove or modify hair on different parts of the body. Most men shave their faces. It shouldn't be a big issue. Do what you think looks and feels best for you.

I wax my bikini line and i don't think i'd go any further, but it's a personal preference. The only thing i worry about are the woman that have convinced themselves pubic hair is dirty and say that they hate it. Hating any part of your body is not healthy and getting fixated to that extent is not a good idea.

Just read the original question again and realised I didn't really answer it. Why? I suppose, beause it looks and feels nicer than being hairy. When did I start? At 11, when the first few hairs appeared.

I agree. What really bothers me are these younger (<21) girls especially who started shaving the moment one wisp of pubes appeared...

I started shaving my pubic hair @ 16 when I was sexually active and found the idea of some bloke having to have his face in a bush rather disgusting. I wouldn't go down on a bloke with a massive bush so I wouldn't expect it him to do it for me. At first I shaved it all off which a couple of blokes liked but then when I got with my boyfriend at 18 who I'm still with now (I'm 22) he asked me to grow a little Brazilian, so I did. I find this much sexier now because it's still practically hair-free but looks really nice.

I don't get razor burn any more as I decided @ 18 it was time to start waxing there as it was feeling more itchy/sore each time I shaved. Since waxing I've not looked back! It grows back slowly and the hair's quite thin. I love it! 8)

Another purely functional reason for me shaving/waxing is that it looks disgusting to have a massive hairy bush and spiders legs sticking out the side/poking through sexy underwear/bikini as it's too small to cover the bush.

As shown in this thread though it's obviously down to personal preference. Personally I find having my face buried in pubic hair quite repulsive as it turns me off when I'm going down on someone (and without the hair would otherwise be enjoying it).

Oh and girls....the first time you shave/wax the bit of hair that's between your legs (as in not counting the bit on the front) it's SO sensitive it feels amazing!

I know, i'm more than concerned about the motivation for it. Why is pubic hair so abberant to some girls? I remember when puberty kicked in my friends and i were ridiculously proud of our pubes :D It was all part of that 'becoming a woman' thing.

When u wear skimpy underwear and like to flaunt what u have , then the sight if lots of hair is not nice. It isnt hard to shave it, and look and feels so much better and even better in bed

heya i agree with seeswee

i feel uncomforatble about the idea of a guy going down even if i am totally shaven. if i wasn't shaven i wouldn't let him!i think it'd be horrible!
i always shaved my bikini line when i was younger, but when i was 16/17 i started shaving more untill i now shave it all off and can't stand having hair down there. It feels unheiginic to me. i feel so much better when i am shaved. so much sexier. and more comfortable. Gues i shaved it all off in the first place so i could wear the underwear i wanted to.

i use veet cream most of the time. dont acually shave. it's so easy to use and makes me really smooth for the first day, but then it gradually grows back and is a bit annoying as you can only use it when the hairs are off a certain lengh. i'm not really dark anyway so it doesn't matter as much, but is still rather annoying.

what do other people use??

My sisters, mum and I all shave, preferably using a new blade for the bikini area. Fortunately, mum had been shaving for years and was able to show us all the right way to do it without causing any damage.

Remember to go with the direction of the hair first, and only when it is almost all off go in the other direction to make it a bit smoother. Just out of interest, my boyfriend says he uses the same technique on his face!

Although I have tried cream on underarms, it seems to get stubbly just as quick as shaving. I would be a bit scared about using creams around my vagina. And as I'm shaving anyway, may as well use the same razor for everything.

I have been thinking about waxing now I can afford it but I am not sure about having to let it grow back a little bit so there is enough to remove. How long does it have to be before you can wax again?

i use a cream to get rid of the bikini line... one that u just put on, leave and wipe the hair away... this is great! As for the whole shaven thing, ive tried it before and a few days later the hair comes back and it itches like mad and looks awful! Perfectly honest i coundnt be dealing with the hassel of shaving my minge every 48 hours.... so i just keep it neat and trimmed!

All guys are different I think having it clean and trimmed but not bare should be ok. What produt do you use to go bare wax? I can not picture shaving it I think I would cut myself. Can you do it at home or do you have to go to special beauty place to do it?

ok hope it is ok and nobody dumps me because of keeping it clean and trimmed but there.

Stop shaving women, real men like lots of hair down thier. It's sexy and a turn on to see the V.
