Goldfish

Planning my Wedding, I've noticed that loads and loads of people want to use Goldfish in their table centrepieces.

I'd love to have Goldfish swimming in my centrepieces.......But what happens to the Goldfish afterwards??

No way can I just flush them - that would be cruel!
Not sure about giving them to younger guests as favours, either - that might work out cruel, too!

Is there some kind of Goldfish sanctuary, or can the Goldfish be hired for the occasion??

unless you have big tanks or aeration, chances are that a couple of them will die. how would you like that? dead fish floating in bowls on your tables? i've heard of this happening. methinks NOT such a good idea.

if you really must have fish Betas would work much better that goldfish. they dont reqire a bubbler to stay alive. . . however, they are more expensive and cannot be returned. i would ask an elementery in your area if they would be willing to take the fish as class pets since they are rather low matinence.

As long as the bowls are half full the goldfish will survive and not die. Gold fish are really part of the family of called carp, just release them into the lakes, if they survive from the other fish in the lake they can get pretty big, in fact as big as a small mouth bass or larger sometimes.
