Hen night suggestions?

Postby Guest » Sat Apr 22, 2006 1:43 pm

My best friend is getting married and has asked me to be bridesmaid. She has also asked me to have a think about some ideas for the hen night. She'd like to have 2 nights. Go away for a few days with her friends (abroad or UK) and have a meal locally for the family. Can anyone suggest a good location to spend 2 nights. I'd like to hear what you have planned for your hen night. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks xx
P.S. We are in Glasgow... so anywhere other than that... lol!

hen night idea

Maybe too late for a reply now (?) but I'd recommend London. Caesars in South London has one of the very few male lap-dancing clubs in the UK (had a great laugh there). The Leigham Court Hotel is nearby; nice, not expensive and there's loads to do elsewhere in London for the other night (or the same night if you want a late one!).

You could have a champagne "flight" on the London Eye, go to the Derby Season Greyhound racing, have a pamper session at one of the many spas, try a flotation tank(www.floatworks.com), go to the Adonis Cabaret or a Dreamboys show, go clubbing...let me know if you want details.

Thanks for your reply.

Out of all the cities in the UK London is definitely top of the list.

We'd be interested in doing the spa thing one day and maybe shopping the next.

Night time activities would be meal and show then maybe meal and club the following night.

Any recommendations for somewhere we could eat that has a fun atmosphere, is good for groups and good food?

(rushed meal in a Japanese noodle restaurant!) before going out to Streatham, it depends where you plan to stay/eat.

When anyone in our gang has a hen night we club together and hire a big country house, take bags of fancy dress and sometimes a karaoke machine, and have a seriously brilliant time.

Thanks for the replies and the links!

We will probably be staying close to covent garden and eating around there too.

The country house idea is good too. Can I ask where you booked this? Is there a website?

I'm going to be bridesmaid twice next year so will suggest both x :)

I would reccomend Marbella for the location or somewhere a bit closer to home would be - Paris.

Other ideas for the hen night itself would be - out to dinner somewhere posh, then a pub crawl, and then all have a sleepover and sit up all night, have a mini karaoke and eat junk food and maybe watch a video! I have never been on a hen night so I havent got much ideas!

Oh come on! 2 nights or more abroad? Just go out and feck random guys, or strippers. It's what you are all going to do anyway, especially her.

Be honest. Stop wasting our time pretending to want tame stuff.
