I think all the sitters I had were 10, 20, 30 years older than me, except for two. The last time I got babysat I was 11 and she was around 15 or 16. And the other one I'll tell about. Most 12 year old boys still need a sitter, but they shuld not be bathed. It's not always a modesty issue and its OK if the sitter checks on him or sits there, but at 12 he should be able to wash his whole body all by himself. When the babysitter arrived I usually got a bath first thing and spent the rest of the evening in my pajamas. Sometimes I resisted and maybe I acted up a little but that was because I didn't like baths in general. I never minded actually getting bathed. With most sitters it was a good time for talking, or telling jokes or songs. Getting bathed wasn't embarassing. In the last year, when I was 10 and 11, sometimes I felt a litte shy about undressing, like a slight pang of modesty. But at other times I could strip without a shred of modesty. It was a variable thing. At that time, my usual babysitter started bringing her daughter to "help" and I guess give her some experience. She seemed big to me, but she was probably only 12 or 13. So I was only 2 years younger but she seemed grown up enough I wasn't embarassed, even when she helped bathe me. She told me about two other boys I knew that she bathed, so that made it seem acceptable too. The only thing that embarassed me was when my little sister was in the bathroom when I was getting a bath. She was 3 years younger and normally I didn't mind her seeing me in my birthday suit. I guess being surrounded by 3 females under those circumstances was a bit much for a ten year old boy! Also, they seemed to encourage her to watch. I remember the babysitter telling the girls that boys need lots of attention at bath time, and how we can't be trusted to get ourselves clean without help. This poll suggests that babysitters tell each other about what they see. I always wondered about this. I'd like to hear from girls who babysit about this. Do you think the babysitter's daughter who gave me baths and saw me naked talked to her friends about it?
