I jsut wanted to tell you that my daughter got her belly button pierced yesterday, and everything went well. The pain was bearable as she told me afterwards, and she also told me that she is the happiest girl now.
But she insists to get her nose pierced too.
Another thing: Iám going to provide a picture of my daugher´s pierced belly as soon as possible, is there anyone here who would also like to provide a photo from his/her child´s piercing?

Hi Marcus;
I think you did the right thing by letting your daughter opt for the belly button piercing. This is a very popular piercing for girls, and the belly button is ideal for wearing the jewelry that is now made for it. As long as it does not "migrate" out, I don't see where there will be a problem.
Another thing, the belly button piercing is one that can be concealed whenever you want it to be. This is different than the nose piercing.
But nose piercing seems to be gaining popularity. Years ago, Indian women were about the only ones that wore nose jewelry. If it is done right, it can look very nice, if the nose stud is small.
Perhaps you can give her a nose piercing for a future birthday gift. That will give her something to look forward to.
