Righto then, as this has been a topic of dicussion with friends for a while now, I thought I'd share it with you all and probe your minds for opinions...

What's with the size of nipples?

I guess I had always assumed the larger the breast, the larger the nipple (foolish me to assume!), but after in depth discussions (and measurements) with friends, have discovered that this theory is crap.

A fellow sofa sister who's cup most definatley runneth over, compares hers to a 5c piece, whereas I (very notably smaller in quantity (although not quality!) can give a 50c piece a run for it's money.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the nature and design of these mysterious yet yummy little things?

Don't forget the Areola, that lovely darkened area at the base of the nipple. It can vary in size and coloring almost as much as the nipple does.

Do you mean nipples or areolas ?

I like medium to bigger areolas.

All I know is I like nipples hard and visible through a woman's shirt. mmm

Areola colour is related to skin colour.
Areola size is just natural variation (like breast size and shape) except areola size usually increases when breastfeeding.

For the statisticians out there:

Average Nipple Size (female)
0.27 inches (6.79 mm).

Average Areola Size (female)
1.4 inches (35.62 mm).

All are delightful.
