My Boss's Wedding

I have a question for all you loverly ladies.

My boss is a planning a 'no fuss' wedding. She isn't having a reception, just a small afternoon tea for selected family members.

She's recently expressed her annoyance to me about "people who assume that they are invited", which leads me to think that maybe she was giving me a subtle hint not to attend the ceremony.

She hasn't sent out invitations, only verbaly invited her close family.

Question is, should I go to the Wedding?

what makes you think you automatically qualify? its her day, so the bride should choose.

you could drop a hint, like can i get you a gift, or where should people send them etc..

beware thugh- it could be a tra to see how much brown nosing you are lilely to do..

My guess is that you would love a big princess wedding, and therefore can't really understand that your boss won't - but from what you have told, I'm fairly sure you boss wants a quite affair with the few people that were invited.

Personally I'm more into the princess thingy, but would still wonder what other people than those invited are doing in church on that Saturday. My advise is to stay far away. This will NOT give you browny points.

If she hasn't invited you, my guess is, you're not invited. It really IS that simple

I think that legally the place where a marriage is taking place can be entered by anyone that wants to go.

Wasnt that the problem with charles and camilla at the reg office. They made sure that there were more people than could fill the room to attend in case anyone objecting to the wedding went in and raised their objection.

I hope they have a nice day and if you got an invite then you must be delighted.

People do assume they will be invited to weddings and its really annoying if you are the bride/groom and are on restricted numbers for your venue.
