After sex

Someone told me that after sex you're supposed to go pee because it helps get all the bad bacteria out and helps prevent urinary track infections....is this true?

Actually, before sex is better... for a woman anyhow.

If a woman has sex with a full bladder, then the penis will bang against the bladder, and THAT could cause the bladder infection. The reason is because your bladder has a lining of white blood cells that are there to protect it from possible infection. If that lining is damaged or disrupted it will cause the white blood cells to be disturbed, thus, leading to an infection.

So I say, go before and after if you need to.

I’m not aware of leucocytes (WBCs) forming a barrier lining in any organ. When present outside the lymph or circulatory system, it is usually in response to Cytokines, which elicit chemotaxis of the WBC. They squeeze between the cells of an organ where they then go after foreign proteins (either in solution or on bacterial cell walls).

Infections are caused by bacterial entering the bladder. Women are more prone due to a shorter urethra. Jostling of the area aggravates bacteria introduction. That is why a lot of sex can cause honeymooner's disease.

I would recommend peeing after, to flush the urethra. Too full a bladder may cause distension as well. Also, wipe yourself front to back, avoid vaginal sex after Anal, and wash an uncut penis before sex.

I suppose I stand corrected. Thank you Dr. Pee. I had been told that once before by someone else that had infections regularly. I did some research and like I said, I stand corrected.

I’m not a doctor; I just play one on TV and with nice cutie pies. I would ask you gynecologist for a better answer. I’m a design engineer of medical products, and I have a background in microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology, and I just had never heard of such a lining. That does not mean that it is not true. I’m 90% sure though.

P.S. I do like your posts, you are very helpful.

I didn’t think to mention it as this was a female post, but a good post coital pee feels as good as an orgasm. I’m sure nature wants my pipes clean too. see, men can have multiples too :D
