My first thoughts on it...

"Cramps"... Charlie horses... OUCH!...

Charlies are the result of vitamin C deficiency...

Could it be that simple?

Hi miss,

I wouldn't worry too much at this time. It sounds like you are just running a bit late on your period. Have any physical changes occurred in your life that might affect your period? Dieting, sleeplessness, over-exercising, having more sex than usual? Anything like that? Little things like that can offset a woman's cycle a bit. Also, have you started to hang out with a new group of females? When women hang out together on a regular basis, they sometimes become "in tune" to each other's cycles due to pheromones I believe. Do some research if you want to know more on that, because I'm not a scientist when it comes to reasons why. LOL

As far as you possibly being pregnant, yes, cramping is a sign of pregnancy, but it usually doesn't occur until you are at least 3 or 4 months pregnant. The uterus can cramp from the changes it is undergoing due to the growth of the placenta and amniotic fluid forming I do believe. I know the first time I was pregnant, I started cramping around 3 months along. I was scared to death it meant I was having a miscarriage, but I talked to my doc and she said it was normal. It wasn't a severe stabbing pain, but more of a dull, annoying cramp.

Considering you're not that late on your period yet, I wouldn't worry too much about pregnancy right now. If you start to develop other signs of pregnancy (tender breasts, constantly tired, flu like symptoms, nausea) then I would definitely get a pregnancy test.

There are several other things that could be causing it I'm sure, but I could go on and on and on.... best thing for you to do is a search on Google, or just call your doctor and ask them.

Hope I was helpful.

After being unsure if I was possibly pregnant, I can confirm I took two pregnancy tests today and both came back positive, and god do i feel it. I have already today started feeling nauseous, and sore tummy. Cant believe i am pregnant but I am so happy and so is my fiance. So thank you for your great advise.

Congrats miss!

Take good care of yourself, get plenty of folic acid, and remember, just because you're pregnant it doesn't mean you can't exercise. My biggest regret during all three of my pregnancies was not staying as physically active as I should. I'm paying for it now after having my 3rd five months ago! If you stay active during your pregnancy, it will be much easier for you after the birth to drop your baby weight. Just some advice from someone who has been there. :)

Good luck to you and your fiance'!

So true MM ! ! ! ! Staying fit and getting lots of exercise during your pregnancy will also make the process of giving birth go more smoothly. You'll have better physical and mental endurance and your improved muscle tone will help your contractions be more efficient and effective.

You'll also find that everyone that has ever been pregnant, known someone that was pregnant, or even passed by a book about pregnancy in a bookstore, will want to give you unsolicited advice . . . so, let me be one of the first. I found that I got a lot of leg cramps at night while I was sleeping; but, if I remembered to take my calcium supplement each day I didn't have any problems with them anymore. Good luck and enjoy being pregnant, it really is a wonderful time.

Very good advice, lovestosail!

I too had the leg cramp problem at night, and calcium intake helped greatly. As far as books on pregnancy for first time mothers, I would definitely recommend the "Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy" written by Vicki Iovine. Out of all the books I read, this one helped me the most when it came to questions that I had that normal "scare tactic" books didn't cover. It is written by a woman that has had four children, and she not only covers her experience, but all of her best friends' experiences with pregnancy. She talks in the book just like a best friend would, and shares some very humorous stories about things all women fear and sooner or later experience when they are pregnant. Here is a link that describes the book in more detail:

Once again, good luck and cherish the experience! Pregnancy is a beautiful thing!
