What's wrong with the world?

I am shocked at the way things are these days? The middleast is crazy right now. Who is at fault? What do you think?

I suppose in a sense people have been asking the same question for centuries. The Middle East was a focus for conflict and political unrest in Biblical times. The groups at war have varied over the years as have the reasons, but it's always been a very tense part of the world - for all kinds of reasons.

That is true. I just wish people could see that we are not here forever. There are better things to live for and certainly better things to die for. I hope we could get along oneday. But I know that will never happen.

Oh ye of lil faith. Well the fact of the matter is, nations mean very lil now, when you can fly to anywhere on the globe, and talk to someone in china from say london with no problems.

As for the middle east...it wasn't always like that, they had dominant countries and were one of the most advanced regions on the planet...in fact they are considered the birth of civilisation. But when we started to invade it over and over again it broke. By we i mean western infuences...and they quickly feel as we had modernised and they felt no need to. and while the west is the power atm...i have a feeling in a hundred years the east will. So you might find us in the same boat.

In all honesty i dont think it is anyones fault...if we had not done it to them they may have done it to us. It was and is a war.

And to conclude why we cant be friends...because there are those who want to be in power...

I wonder which holy crusade people mean when they mention "the" holy crusades?

There's the 1096-1097 holy crusade, the 1146-1149 holy crusade and the 1189-1192 holy crusade. The result of all this crusading, is that it has left the Middle East all mixed up and bitterly struggling against each other (and the rest of the world).

But then, on the other hand, there's been the Muslim holy crusaders with their holy wars (Jihad). The Muslim Crusades of North Africa, The Muslim Crusades of India, and The Muslim Crusades of Southeast Asia.

So, it's not just Westerners trying to own everything, but anyone who thinks it would be great if the whole world thinks and believes the same as they do.

It seems to me, that all the trouble in the Middle East is based on people's intolerance to other people's beliefs. Also, people will not forgive and forget events of the past, including events that happened many, many generations ago!!

Humans have been waring against one another since existance, and thats proven in our history, children are taught in schools about war centuries ago, and how we cna prevent this.

It all comes down to one thing, Greed for land, money, and power, and RELIGON. No true religon however would wish bombing or this much crisis on anybody, and I think alot of people just use it as an excuse. It's not fair...but we're humans... what else cna you expect :/ ?
