really need some advise

hi i am 7 wks pregnant and am experiencing some pain on my left side ,then this morning, when i went to loo there was a vry small amount of brown spotting!please can anyone tell me if i have anything to worry about?

I had this at 6 weeks, and the midwife told me that it is very common to have implantation spotting during early pregnancy, particularly between 6-7 weeks. I was so worried, but near enough every women I spoke to after had some kind of spotting during their pregnancies. Try to relax. I phoned the EPU after my spotting, and they said, if it has stopped and there is no pain, to just forget about it, but if it continued, or I had pain, to get in touch with my midwife.

well i another bleed this morning, so went to see my gp and she has arranged a scan first thing in the morning, i'm so scared and worried

Ohhhhh...sending you ((((HUGS)))) Shaza. I really hope the scan puts your mind at ease, and just confirms that the pregnancy is in the right place, and coming along nicely!!! better to get checked out! There can be a million reasons why someone would bleed.....will be thinking of you tomorrow! Good luck xxx

just thought i'd keep u updated...just had my scan...they could only see the sac,but they reckon i'm only about 4 weeks preg not 8 week like i thought... i have to go back next friday for another scan...they also did a blood and smear test...as last week my blood test was only 103 hcg...so they need to see if it has got any higher......does this mean i'm pregnant or not???

had another appointment at the hostipal this morning for yet another blood test...my results from fridays blood test is 4420 hcg,which they said was good...so fingers crossed the test i had done today has increased again....

just got a phone call from the hospital with this morning's blood test...my hcg levels are now 11710....does anyone else know what there levels were at, at this stage( 4/5wks)

Shaza.....I wouldn't worry now if I were you.....the hcg levels should double every 48-72 hours, which yours are doing. They are definately going in the right direction......I think the bleeding was probably bubs snuggling in a bit more! I would rest, milk it for all it's worth (i.e. get your partner to do EVERYTHING for you) and start enjoying your pregnancy! Has the bleeding stopped?

hi ODN yes the bleeding stopped last week...but still worrying and this has never happened in my last pregnanies!!! but then every pregnanie is different,isnt it? got another scan on friday,so hopefully they can tell me roughly how far they think i am,as i'm pretty certain i'm now coming up to 9 weeks....but when i went last week they said i could be about 4/5 weeks...strange...

i bet you cant wait for the little one arrive?

well anyway i'll let you know the reslts on friday.....so fingers crossed

just thought i'd give an update,

went for a scan this morning and i saw the baby's heart beating away....they said that i am 5 weeks and 6 days...can twait for the next scan...at 12 weeks
