The girls are very excited about next Monday :costumed1: . They haven't told anyone at school about their plans exept for my little sis's journalism teacher bcause she want's 2 write an article about high school fashion 4 the school paper. She said she looked around yesterday and didn't see ANYONE wearing a skirt so this should b a real eye opener. I told her whatever she want's 2 post here is ok and that it doesn't have 2 follow any journalistic guidelines like the article she might do 4 class.

Hi i will give you all the result off today, as my daughter has just come home still wearing the skirt i gave her.
We have had a good chat, and i have found out that she had been asked out by a boy, she also has made a few more new frriend with girls who did not talk to her befor. She seams very happy i think its because of her weraing a skirt to school for the first time. but i have some work to do, she has ripped the split in the back of her skirt and had to put a safity pin in to hold it. I said i would repair in for monday.

Buffyfan, My daughter has read this topic and would like your sis to include her in her article in the school paper, on the subject of her wearing a skirt to school for the frist time and that she is the only one wearing a tight pencil skirt, she said that most girls wear minis skirts, and it had been an experience wearing a longer skirt.
She also said that can i buy her one like she wore today, coz she has been invited to a party next week, i said see what happends next week

sorry about the spelling befor, i typed with out my glasses on

Hi Countrygirl. Thanks 4 the report :thankyou: . We would though like more details. :!: For example, did any of the other girls make fun of her or tease her :?: Was there any stuff she had to do during the day that was difficult in that kind of skirt :?: And how did the rip happen and did anyone notice: :?:  Our mom told us she often wore skirts or dresses to school back in the dark ages. But i really think kids looked nice then. Now they all seem to look like they don't have a dime to spend on clothes eventhough 4 sure some of the stuff they wear is way expensive :( . It just doesn't look like it.

Here is a preliminary report. The girls made it off to class this morning in their skirts as described earlier. My sis called a while ago 2 say she has had some teasing from the girls but mostly the boys just keep stairing at her legs. I don't think most of them have ever seen a girl in hose b 4. Another one tried to up her with his camera phone under her desk  She saw her bf after 1st period and he wanted to make out with her on the spot :D . So, so far it has been mostly a positive experience but with some problems she will write about in more detail later. As 4 her friend, she won't see her again until they meet at lunch time. More from her later.

Hi Meg; well the pantyhose didn't make it through lunch time. :( She called with another update and she caught them on the wooden benches they sit on outside 4 lunch  . She didn't think 2 take a spare pair so now she is bare legged. One of the sort of Goth girls told her she should have just kept them on and put all sorts of rips in both legs and that woud look cool. Yuck  Her friend has taken quite a bit of teasing about looking like a Catholic school girl and did she go to the wrong school?...stuff like that. I told sis she has 2 post by tomorrow 2 get a passing grade from FF members :!:

Know what would be interesting- in the story in the school paper include a little ballot for people to indicate their preference: Pants, skirts with bare legs, and skirts with pantyhose. I'd bet the bare legs would win but maybe not. They could promise to abide by the results for one day which might raise the interest.

Hi everyone  My sister and her friend just got home from school. I told her she has 2 start writing for FF right away. She will do her article for the school paper later.

Hi FF readers; I'm not sure where to start. As you know, my friend Hanna and I decided to wear skirts to school today. No one at our school hardly every wears them. Maybe once in a while but it's usually a denim mini skirt with threads hanging from the bottom and look pretty tacky. Hanna wore a skirt she borrowed from one of her friends that goes to a Catholic school down the street from ours. It's plad and falls about four inches above the knee. She looked just like she belonged to that school. No hose and black flat shoes. I borrowed my sister's kilty type skirt. It's about 15 inches long but looks shorter on me because I'm taller than her. It has a flap on the front that I pinned with a large gold safety pin. I borrowed a pair of her black Silk Refletions pantyhose and found some old black heels that I managed to fit into. I take the bus to school. Immediately I got lots of looks, no make that stares from teh boys. But no comments or anything. I also noticed I had to be very conscious of my skirt. With pants, anything goes but with the skirt I had to be aware of how I sat, went up stairs, walked in the wind, etc. I soon found out high schools are not an easy place to wear a skirt and hose. First period was English. Just getting into my desk was hard. I had to keep my legs pressed together to slide under the desk part and into my seat. Then later, some boy tried to up me with his camera phone. As I was concentrating on the teacher, I realized my legs had drifted apart so I decided to keep them crosssed the rest of the day when seated. Next class my boy friend is in. I thought he was going to come in his pants when he saw me and wanted to make out in the hall between classes. The mean girl I wrote about before in another thread is also in that class and made a few mean comments like I looked like a hooker and what was I trying to prove. But most of the girls said I looked nice and that maybe they would give it a try another time. You know, when we talked to our mom about this, she said she dressed nice for school almost every day back in the dark ages. Third period was gym. But trying to get put back together in a hurry after was a challenge trying to get my pantyhose on streight in front of a bunch of other girls who were all giggling watching me pull them into place. I was very lucky not to get a run in them. At lunch was the first time I met up with Hanna. She reported a bit of teasing with a couple of kids asking if she was in the wrong school but overall she had a positive experience. Lunch was outside and we had to carry our trays over to the picknik tables leaving our skirts to blow around a bit. If it were windy, I could see that could have been a major problem but they managed to stay down. Then when trying to sit at the table, I had to be sure to hold my skirt in underneith me so I wouldn't be sitting on my panties. When I went to get up I felt a rip. I had run my pantyhose on the wood. When I got to the girl's room I tried to fix them with nail polish but I only made it worse. One of the "goth" girls was in there too and said I should just rip them all over and how cool that would look. I took them off instead and went bare legged the rest of the day. Forth period was up two flights of stairs. A challenge carrying books leaving only one hand free to hold in the skirt to keep prying boy's eyes from seeing what they shouldn't. Overall it was a fun experience but High Schools are definitey not made for wearing short skirts and hose. But I'm so sick of everyone looking like slobs (boys included) at school all the time. It would be fun to all look nice for a change but we only get to do that a couple of times a year at dances. I hope you found this entertaining and informative. I wrote this pretty quickly so I hope there aren't too many mistakes. The article for my paper if I do it will have to be a little bit different and concentrate on fashion differences among the students rather than the problems I encountered but I guess I can mention them a little bit.
