Congrats to buffysis and her friend. :gourpwave:

I'm glad you actually did it and it isn't always easy being the only person in a skirt.

Woo Hoo to buffs sister. You go girl. It isn't easy going against the grain but it did have it's rewards. Change has got to start some place.
Keep it up and post your stories.

My sis reported that two girls she knows wore skirts 2 school yesterday so maybe she started a trend :!: She said they both looked really nice. Girl #1 seemed like she had been wearing skirts forever. But the other girl seemed very self concious and was fussing with her skirt all the time grabbing the hem, pulling it down, etc. After school she told my sis that once was enuf bcause it was 2 hard to keep her, well as Sherwoodlondon put it "goodies" covered  I think my sis want's to buy a skirt of her own 2 wear 2 school again soon. Maybe we will go shopping 4 1 this weekend

that's very nice to hear. Maybe they should designate one day each week as skirt day so that the ones that wear them get some moral support. I'm sure the boys would love it.

buffyfan, her is my mid week report on my daughter wearing a pencil skirt to school, well the first skirt to school as she lives in trousers, I have seen a change in her she is more girly, and for the first time went out sunday in a skirt, a denim pencil one that is mine, i have said that do you want to wear a short skirt, she said she likes this style and likes the tight feeling it gives and you can feel that its on. Also she has said that she wants to me to buy her some school skirts. What a change nnow shehas a boy friend and seams very happy, but her friend hhas gone back to trousers she said that she feels silly in a skirt.

all young girls go through changes i can remember at my school you compeated with each other inwho could wear the tightest skirt, i used to alter mine just to look cool, but now days this does not happen, its who short is your skirt, but my daughter hates short skirts and this is the first time she has worn a skirt by her choice,

Back in the 60,s we certainly had to wear skirts - we would have been sent home if we came in trousers. I hated mine - they were dry clean only back then and a different material (nylon ?). By the end of a school term the seat would be as shiny as a mirror, really scruffy and it seemed to be changing from dark navy blue to a strange green colour. Yuk !

Buffy sis here. First, dear guest. As a journalism student, allow me to correct you. It should be "my mates and I." As for trying to look up girls skirts as school, maybe that's why more girls don't wear skirts in the first place. The day I tried it I felt very unconfortable knowing there were boys lerking around every stairway waiting for me to make that one mistake leading to exposure. But in spite of this, I've talked several of my girl friends to wear skirts to school next week...day still TBD. This time I won't have to borrow my sisters. We are going shopping this weekend.

Buffy sis here again. Dear guest. It is really rude to try to look up our skirts. If you went to my school, my boy friend would lay a beat down on you if he caught you doing it deliberately. Maybe you should try wearing a skirt all day and see how challenging it is sometimes to keep things under wraps.

As for next week' "skirt day", we three went shopping yesterday. There will be no chance of anyone seeing my, as you call them, knickers, as I bought a streight tight skirt that is just a little above the knee. My friend Hanna got a white pleated skirt. Our other friend Brittney bought a dress! It's really cute. Black with white polka dots. She will have to wear a slip underneith as it is totally see through in the right light. My feeling is that her dress is too short to be pratical for school and I warned her of the dangers based on my esperiences a few weeks ago but she insisted and says she has it under control. Wednesday is the day. I'll report back after.

look forward to it,a short pleated skirt sounds risky but great for the boys.

Pay no attention to the crude remarks, buffysis. I'm sure all three of you will have all the boys eating out of the palm of your hands all day. I think it would be interesting to go barelegged in the morning and put the pantyhose on after lunch and see which look gets the most admiration.

That sounds like a cool idea Meg  I think i will suggest it 2 the girls :!: Also with a half day in pantyhose there won't be as much chance of getting runs :) I know my sis's friend Brittney is really worried about the reaction she will get at school since she didn't do it b 4. She even tried on her dress yesterday at my house 2 see how it would behave etc. It's not 2 short while she is standing up but when she tried 2 sit it really rode up a lot. That caught her by surprise as she just giggled and struggled to pull it down. Maybe with some practice she will master the techinque :?:
