Re: Short Skirts as a Freelance PA

Postby Sara Jane » Tue Oct 28, 2008 5:47 pm

Being of above-average height with abnormally long legs even the hemlines of my formal business suits fall well above my knee and a moderately short skirt looks like a micro-miniskirt on me but as a freelance interpreter, personal assistant and general girl Friday I have no boss or colleagues to comment on the way I dress for work, just an approving husband and my extremely demanding and generally appreciative clients who consider my casual thigh length miniskirts and appropriate compatible tops to be an asset.

I frequently travel on business sometimes over a period of several days and enjoy the company of my male clients and their business associates and I am comfortable with the fact that my style of dress may leave them with an expectation that I will allow a relationship of an intimate nature to develop during leisure hours over the course of an assignment.

My diary is constantly full mostly of repeat bookings and personal recommendations so I like to think I have struck the right balance between professional efficacy and personal accessibility.

I love to wear a fairly short skirt for walking, about mid thigh. it' s really comfortable and I like the feel of the fabric on my legs as I walk. When the weather is cool a pair of outragously bright patterned tights is great.

I don't wear skirts at work because it's just not the thing guys do it this office!

What a joker!

Why do you thing I'm joking? If you haven't tried wearing a skirt you don't know what it's like and if you haven't worn one in public you are a coward. Surprisingly it doesn't make your willie shrink or you balls shrivel! Nor do be come a raving homo!

For my first year I go round with an experienced guy called Steve for training. I'm really enjoying it. I usually wear a blouse and knee length skirt. I get on really well with Steve. One time we were chatting and he said to me you know you will get more sales if you were a short skirt for cutomer visits. We're selling transport services and almost all the customers are male. I was a bit surprised but I said are you sure. I said I don't do stockings or tights and my legs are quite pale. Doesn't a short skirt and pale bare legs look tarty. He said no way your legs look great. Not everyone is into fake tans. So I took his advice and started wearing short skirts. We always make sure I get to sit were the customer gets a good look at my legs. And it works, we are both getting more sales and earning more commission. Is there any problem with this. I don't see any. I don't care who looks at my legs any more than who looks at my arms.

The other thing that would probably work is tight trousers ie so tight its quite clear how curvy your bum is, hell if it makes you money and no ones getting hurt go for it

I think that Spoctor Dooner or was it the Speverend Rooner who started this.

You can have real fun spoonerising people's comments. Some end up a bit rude.

Short Skirts become Skort Shirts, by the way.

Hey Emma, How come in July 2003 you were 24 but in July 2009 you are 18?! Are you pulling our legs or have you found a way to age backwards?
