You can goodle this yourself and read the history, but Lorena Bobbit was far from the "abused" woman she made herself out to be. She was a very violent woman, equally abusive if not more as her former husband whose penis she had cut-off. She even viciously beat her mother with a base ball bat once.

Given the way she was celebrated as a hero and the small slap on the hand she received, it is amazing to me that no angry man hunted her down to make an example of her.

Well, let us keep this in perspective shall we? First Lorena Bobbit was never raped. No charges of r**** were ever brought against John Bobbit. It came out that she was an extremely insecure woman that was angry over an alleged act of infidelity on the part that John had committed and being verbally abusive. I believe that to be true. But who really knows. At any rate, she had a violent history and was verbally abusive herself, and someone correctly posted above about her going after her mother with a baseball bat. She did and was arrested for domestic violence (you can google this to verify it).

So if sexually mutilating a man is justified if he cheats, then I suppose sexually mutilating a woman that cheats is too, right?

The thing is that if a man had done such a thing, he would rightly be deemed as a criminal and jailed. But when a woman did this, she wasn't. Now that is a true double-standard and the source of this male anger on here.

The law failed to do what was right, but I do not subscribe to vigilante justice. Had John Bobbit enacted a similar act of retaliation, then in my mind this would have been between him and his ex and I feel would have been justified.

That said, I think the law not doing what was clearly the right thing and failing to have jailed her, has only created more misogyny in the world by not having women held to the same legal standards and held accountable as a man would surely have been. Curiously, feminists were silent on this issue.

So I would not be surprised if someone out there is just crazy enough to do this one day to her or even other women or this incidence setting an example or lesson for men to follow and retaliating against women that have cheated on them.

LOL I am knew here, but it seems that it is a common thing that people cannot read a post properly. It was confusing why anyone would have responded to your post when clearly your views were well stated.

Personally, on the matter of r****, I think that rapists should serve at minimum lengthy prison terms and be on a world-wide register for life and have to pay a life-long reparation. Afterall, the victim has to suffer with the memory of her attack all her life.

That said, a woman that has falsely lied, should be given the prison sentence and her having done so put on a world-wide registry only known to the police, least it inspire retailiation attacks of real r**** on her.

I think men and women knowing the stakes of doing either crime would really think twice.

And there is new technology now that uses fMRI that can 100% accurately tell if a person is lying. We should use it in criminal cases, regardless of the crime. If the purpose of justice is to do justice, then knowing the truth is paramount to carrying out true justice and not just relying on "reasonable doubt" or a "preponderance of evidence" where emotion more than reason sways jury votes.

I have a friend who lost 8 years of his life because a girl cried r**** on him. During the court case, they weren't allowed to research her background. She had done this 12 times before and had changed her name. She got nothing for it, whetheras an innocent man lost out on his children growing up for 8years

There has been an outcry on this and the laws have changed and police crack down hard on women that make these false charges, coming down heavily on them now. Now in circumstances like this, a woman's past can be opened and brought to court, and I have heard that female judges are particularly hard on females that lie about this, probably because older male judges have too much of a chivalrous mindset and not as willing to believe that women can do something like this as readily as other women or men of younger generation now. Evil is evil and knows no boundary of gender or race. Saying more men commit evil, which of course they do, doesn't excuse the evil of another, especially when it comes to an innocence person.

Also your friend has legal recourse to a cival lawsuit, which I hope he did or is. Clearly this woman is disturbed.
