And there are far more than you'd think.

Those who have an unhealthy weight just love to believe the ones who are thin are so by starving themselves. Not saying that there aren't women who do that just saying that there are many who don't.

I do believe that their are alot of thin women with healthy diets I am one of them I am 5'9 and a size 8. but I am not 30 lb uderweight. Im sorry but I do believe that most of the women who are so thin every bone in their body shows have eating disorders even if they dont know it. I knew a girl who weighed 90 lb and only ate 900-1000 cals a day she thought what she was doing was healthy but she had a eating disorder.

If I had a large bone structure I'd have every single bone of my body showing yet because I have a narrow bone structure my bones show only a little. It's not just about eating too little, it's also about bone structure.

Oh, and you can be certain that although I'm 5'7'' and a size 4 US (6 UK) I'm very healthy (according to the doctor) and I'm constantly eating.

What she doesn't realise is that her body will feed off of her organs. You can bet her organs are undersized and will not last her into old age. Maybe not too late to reverse that I would hope.

Some extra weight in the right places looks good on a woman and is natural and not unhealthy. Not to be compared to obesity, and guys liking that does not lead to obesity, as someone tried to counter with, because our culture stresses all the time that obesity is bad. It's living the good life eating fast foods and having plenty to eat that often, but not always, is the culprit. Seriously, the ones who get so thin their bones are showing take on a girlish look. That is not appealing, as a grown woman should look like a grown woman, not a girl.

I absolutley do! I love girls who are very thin, they're just so delicate and pretty. I love a woman with a thin reedy body and small breasts. I especially love when i can see her ribs.....so sexy! I know I'll probably take crap for being "shallow" ....or whatever. The fact is I never made a conscious decision on what i find beautiful, its a feeling thats just there. Just like guys who love bigger girls never made a decision to do so....They just do. To each his own....live and let live, all that.....stuff ;)[/quote] I completely agree. Skinny with ribs showing is extremely sexy. BUT, I am certainly not saying that a woman should be below a healthy BMI according to, for example, My best friend is 5'4" and around 109 pounds and my wife is 5'1" and around 99 pounds. Both are considered thin by most people, both have very sexy flat stomachs with visible ribs, BUT both have a BMI of 19 which is in the optimal range of 19-21 per the above link. I love the look of healthy skinny women!

i am about 98lbs, it changes (lol) but i am not anorexic. i am just slim. i think i look ok and the doctor says im healthy. but some people think im anorexic just because im slim, which annoys me. some people dont seem to understand that its possible to be slim and eat!! i dont have bones stickin all over the place and dont look like im about to snap, although u can c my ribs a bit i think it looks ok.like the people above have said, everyone likes different things, so this argument is just gona be on-going and pointless coz everyone has different views on whats sexy.

A BMI under 20 is unhealthy. According to the BMI chart.

What chart are you referring to? According to the results at the link I posted, http://healthchecksystems.com/bmi.asp , 19-21 is the optimal range. Also, I checked a couple of other sources, and according to both http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmi-related-disease.php and http://www.consumer.gov/weightloss/bmi.htm indicates that anything above 18.5 BMI is still in the normal range. I am a male and I have struggled with weight all of my life. I am currently 160 pounds and 5'10", with a BMI of 23. I would like to get down to 155 pounds. I am extremely proud of my wife and my friend for their slender physiques!

Uh huh. This subject/thread is about physical characteristics, in case you didn't notice. But since you bring it up, my wife is a CPA and my friend is a very successful international business banker.
