skirtlifting

Good Grief!!!! I used to just worry about gusts of wind, but now this???!!!Just kidding.
I am truly grateful that I have not had this happen, although I did have a guy in high school try to lift up my skirt. I was able to hold it down, so I was not exposed or anything. Sarah1975 thought that skirt lifting in high school was "good fun". I don't see it that way. When I was 14-15 years old, I was very insecure and was really concerned about "fitting in" and being cool and all that. If some moron lifted my skirt up at that time, it would not have been good fun, but mortifying. I do agree that at my age now, it would be pretty bad as well.

Guys that lift girl's skirts are malicious. I think they all pretty much know it's wrong and that it can be very embarrassing for most girls. Once, I heard a guy boasting about how he had lifted a girl's skirt. He thought he was so cool. He wasn't. He was an immature idiot. I never saw it, so he may have been making it up.

This thread reminds me of that scene in the movie "Grease" where a girl's skirt is pulled up at a dance. She didn't look too happy when she ran off! I can't remember why he did that.

The nastiest skirtlifting on this forum is.........Sandradee- eeeeeek!!!!-I would have passed out from the embarrassment!!!!!Appalling!!!

With all the millions of people that wear skirts, only a few get them lifted up. I know it can happen, but I'm not going to spend too much time worrying about it. However, I will always wear clean panties just in case!LOL!!

After reading this thread I must say I'm feeling severe anger. This doesn't sound nice but I think every little prick out there doing this to any woman should be neutered for good! That would be a great way to get earth more civilized and a better place.

This request of mine might sound hard for you, but please - don't let this behavior of some S***-headed "men" keep you from wearing a skirt. Besides, no one thinks the victim of this behavior should be embarrassed, but the asshole committing it indeed should. They are just sexually ratarded individuals who don't get respect from anyone.

I have to agree with Michael C's comments. It is one one to see a ladies underwear if the wind blows her skirt up, but another to force her skirt by hand.

Michael C,

You have every right to be angry. If this had happened to my wife or any other woman I cared about, I would be pissed, too.

I've been reading this for a couple of days now and I have had mixed thoughts about posting or not. When I read Michael C's post I had say something.

I am one of the "S***-headed men" that has pulled up a woman's skirt. I was only 17 when I did it and I regret it now. I know she was very embarrassed and very hurt that I did that. She was a very nice woman and what I did was unforgivable. One of my friends dared me to do it and I was so stupid ,that I did.

Please don't judge all skirtlifters so harshly, Michael C. I will never do that to another woman as long as I live. My immaturity and gullibility lead me to make a very unwise decision.

Gregory, I think we all have done something when we were in our teenage years that we regret.

However, what we are taking about here is those that are in age beyond 17 years old but still go around lifting women's skirts on purpose to embarrass the lady concerned. This in my view is wrong and these people if nothing else need to grow up to be the responsible adults that they should be to show the younger directions how to act in society.

Hi yall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so cool!!!We can vent about a very taboo subject.......I want to tell about my best friend and also I want to tell about a very funny skirtlifting that happened to me.

First the bad news, my friend Jill was celebrating her 30th birthday when it all went to h**.... Her beau at the time lifted her skirt when they were at a club. It destroyed her. They are not together now!.......

Anyways......I have a funny skirtlifting story to tell. I went to Home Depot to buy drill bits for my husband. I made the mistake of taking the kids with me. I had my infant son and my 3 year old daughter. I was asking the man questions about the drill bits when my daughter pulled my skirt up right in front of him. OMFG!!!! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I couldn't believe it. AAAAHHHH!!!!!!! I quickly pulled my skirt down and my face was as red as a fall tomato!!!!!!!!!!!! The guy just laughed and laughed. He was not laughing at me, but he was laughing WITH ME! He told me about some of the things that his kids had done and I felt better right away. My face was still red as a beet as I left the store. I went back there several times after that, and he was so nice that I was no longer embarrassed. Each time I see that man, we chuckle about what happened. Not every skirtlifting has a bad ending.

Hang in there ladies....skirts are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Good luck!!!!and God bless!!!

My BF lifted my skirt while we were playing pool. Lots of men were there and saw everything!!!!!!God!! I wanted to get sucked up into the ground and die!!!!!!!!!!He was such an a******* that night that I can never forgive him. We are now "just friends". Probably a good thing.

What I can not understand is how insensitive guys are. How can they not know that lifting a woman's skirt in public is humiliating??????What are they thinking???????? It's not funny or cute. It's really embarrassing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm fine now and I wear skirts as often as I want. Girl power I guess!!!!

Probably because we think that we think that what is under the skirt is worth looking at!

In reading some of the stories here, it is refreshing that some can laugh it off. Sometimes I think the world takes things too seriously. I'm not saying that it ALL should be laughed away. Heaven knows that some instances are absolutley deveastating.
Does that make sense?

Hey Kangaroo2,

Yes, it makes perfect sense. In my situation there was a comical side to it. It still was bad, but the man who saw it was very nice and his reaction to my predicament helped ease the pain. It could have been much worse. My best friend's case wasn't funny at all. What he did to her was in the "absolutely devastating" category as you described. Her ordeal was much closer to a bad dream. After suffering the humiliation of having her skirt intentionally lifted in public, she has not been the same. She seems to be uncomfortable in crowds and I know she doesn't wear skirts as much. That sounds "absolutely devastating" to me! I know it's been said before, but a few of these skirtlifting instances are really awful! And had they been me, I really don't think I would be the same afterwards. How about you? Were your personal skirtliftings "absolutely devastating" or were they the "laugh off" type?????????Let us know, Amy. Great discussion. Gotta go work. Bye.

I can see that it is embarrassing.
But I don't think it is done to humiliate a girl.
I suspect it is mostly done to see the goodies being hidden!

It may not be the intent, but it certainly can be the result.

This sounds like you think it's ok to lift a woman's skirt if you feel it's worth a look? Is that right? Am I reading this correctly?

hannah81,

No.
But several girls seem to think the intention is to humiliate them. I suspect it is immature behaviour combined with a desire to see what is hidden.
